What industries do Louisianians actually want to boost our economy?

I'm personally fine with data centers as long as they attempt to construct them away from most residential areas. China isn't going to abandon AI and robotics. We have to be a leader in these as well.

Banking/finance? Insurance? Food industries/companies? Durable goods manufacturing? IT?

Idk, lots of options.

We have plenty of industry already here. The problem is our officials and politicians are happy to get bent over by billion dollar corporations. Plants and refineries get tax incentives so they build here, then fail to invest in the local community. When our roads are failing and our kids come out of school more retarded than they went in, we foot the bill because our government is too sackless to pass the bill to the Shells and Dows surrounding us.

Same. Not only the construction, but the long term maintenance and upkeep will provide a boost to the economy. Unsure how much that would be, and impossible to know yet, but it’s non-zero and you’d be a fool to think it’ll be minimal.

Our roads aren’t failing due to industrial facilities not paying enough.

The schools are certainly not failing due to lack of funding.
