Dirt bike. The year I turned 7 I was supposed to get one but my dad was in a motorcycle accident that put him in a coma for a short while. My aunt & her boyfriend were watching us while mom was at the hospital with dad. Talked her bf into helping me setup a 2x6 on top of our chain link fence for a ramp to jump from the driveway into the backyard. Overshot the mark & landed on top of the neighbors fence and released what felt like every ounce of air I had in my lungs and cracked a couple of ribs.
That nixed any notion of a dirt bike and was forbidden to ride one. Of course I snuck around and rode several away from the house & had to hide all my injuries when I would skin myself up.
I am paying for all that shite now

Same, wanted that damn air craft carrier so bad. Parents just refused to get it, said it would take up too much room. Think they were just too cheap.

I also was one of the kids that got almost everything I asked for except for 1 thing. I was big into Transformers and I asked for Jetfire and never got him. A little over 2 years ago I told my wife about never getting that 1 toy. Christmas morning 2020 I opened up a gift and there is a gen 1 Jetfire toy my wife bought off of eBay. I finally got it 35 years after I first asked for it.

Remote control airplane. Instead I got an airplane that you swing around with a rope attached to it. A go cart, sega or Super Nintendo, drums, etc…

The GI Joe Aircraft carrier. In fact, I only ever saw it once when I was on a weeklong work trip with my mom in Huntsville, AL. Lol like 1986(during the Mets/RedSox World Series) it was the 1st time I’d ever been to a Toys R Us at that point as well. But after that, I was fixated on it for like 4 Christmases, and never got it. And even if I did get it, I’m not sure I had a play area big enough to even utilize that big son of a bitch.
