Are you retarded? Go to the frickin hospital now you idiot!!
Idk. I’d argue that it’s equally retarded to go to a hospital, that’s already overran, undermanned, and under resourced, so that you can sit there for 6-8 hours, then they’ll have him piss in a cup, and tell him he’s basically dehydrated.
He’s not in pain or distress. Seems irrational to bog down an ER with something like this…. But maybe that’s just me.

That’s what I suspected! I figured late 30’s or early 40’s… This starts happening a lot more at your age. Just so many factors. But it really can be that simple. You don’t have to sacrifice everything, and your situation is nowhere close to as dire as mine. But just cut back a wknd or 2 of drinking, maybe cut your sodas in half, or just drink an 8oz cup of water, before you drink anything higher in sugar and sodium’s.
This isn’t “normal”, but it’s fairly common. I doubt you need to go book an appointment or see a Dr. immediately. Make those subtle changes, and your urine will likely clear up rather quickly. If it’s not painful, then it’s really just a warning at this point, to do better before it is VERY PAINFUL.

You just started drinking more water to fix the issue?
Well to be fair, I did a whole lot more than that, like a complete overhaul with diet and medications. What I did was extreme and basically out of desperation because I spent so many years taking more medicines, or doing less of this or more of that(after so many stones/lab work etc.) and that shite obviously wasn’t working. So I started by fasting, quitting a whole lot of medicines(like ALL of them) cold turkey, and basically a zero tolerance approach to anything I felt was contributing to it.
But the basic summary of how I’ve maintained and wayyyyy improved my health, is pretty close to a gallon of water a day, and to start my day, I do my own little electrolyte mix, with magnesium and pink Himalayan salt. I stay away from Gatorade/store made electrolyte and energy drinks etc.
But I can almost guarantee you, if you cut out most of the NOT water type drinks you’re likely partaking, and increase your water intake, you’ll get way ahead of this situation.
How old are you?

It does look a bit like sediment, that can easily increase in size and become a problem, if they get big enough, and hit a sweet spot, and cause obstruction or that radiant pain that kidney stones are known for.
But the good news is, it’s relatively common for a lot of us dudes, and you see it now, and can likely get ahead of it and start drinking more water, and less of something else, like sodas or alcohol. There’s something you’re doing, that you can improve now, and hopefully not end up in a hospital for 2-3 days with a lithotripsy and a stint.
Also, not a Dr. but I did stay in a holiday inn express last week, and I’ve been dealing with kidney stones for nearly 30 years. Until I fixed this exact problem for myself about 7 years ago, and knock on wood, I haven’t had one since. After chronically fighting with those bastards 2-3 times a year from the time I was 17, till again, 7 years ago(almost 40 years old).

At least he’s 84. As a quadriplegic, he’s not going to life much longer. Imagine that happening to someone at 20.
I mean yeah, it sucks for anybody. But just the moment he’s living in, he barely sleeps, and anytime it’s just me and him, he’s asking “why?” And I obviously dance around it and say nothing but positive reinforcing things, and he just keeps asking “why can’t I just end this?” He always starts crying, and like a coward, I always tap out and say some shite like, “it’s ok buddy, you have so many people that love you!” Then I hurry out of the room to let the family know they can go back in…. So that he can continue to fake smile for them, and I don’t have to focus on HIS misery.
But he’s present in this state like 20 hours a day. He barely sleeps, and gets very few pain or anxiety meds, definitely not anything to pacify him or distract him from the prison he’s in.
Idk, I’ve seen this a million times, from 18 year olds to him, and this one hits me the hardest. Just seems like he lived a great life, worked so hard taking care of everyone, did everything damn near perfect… and his final days are him being locked inside of his useless body, and totally aware of everything. He could live like this for years.

Right now I am watching my mom fighting the end stages of ALS.
1.) I’m so sorry you and your mom are experiencing this nightmare…
And 2.) I would’ve said “probably end stages of ALS” a few months ago, before I experienced what I posted on page 1.
But watching someone with ALS, starting to realize it’s now effecting the way you breathe, and it’s almost like you forget how, and can’t relax, rest, or experience any peace, because literally the most necessary thing for our survival that you know how to do automatically, is becoming something you now have very little control over. It’s literal torture. Like water boarding with no water.

I’ll start with quadriplegia
Definitely this…. But making it that much worse: let’s pretend that hypothetically, you’re an 84 year old man that’s still 100% active and cognitive, relatively no serious medical issues besides controlled hypertension. Still driving, and proudly taking care of his yard like it’s part of a country club. Then you take a crazy fall, exiting the shower, and flukishly land in a way, that leaves you paralyzed below the chest.
So now you’ve still got all of your faculties(mentally), but since you’re the patriarch of an entire family, and adored by literally everyone, you have to lay in the bed, essentially in a prison that happens to be your body, and death doesn’t look as close as it should be. Dude has to sit there and pretend to be happy in this existence, because at any given time, you have 6-8 family members holding a vigil at your bedside, telling you “how blessed and lucky you are to still be alive!” Never mind you’re still negotiating the fact that you lost 100% of your independence 2 months ago, but the doctors are amazed by how healthy you are, besides the fact you can’t move anything besides your face, no longer allowed to eat/drink etc. so the only pleasures you had left as a human, are now gone.
Literally just trapped. But still forced to put on a smile and act happy, so that the family that adores you, won’t remember you as an angry old man that just wants to die because he lost all his physical powers.
Almost 15 years in the medical field now, and I’ve seen so many unfortunate events…… but I can still think of nothing worse than this. :wah:

I haven’t watched it yet, not even a real trailer, just a little 20 second teaser…. But it reminded me of that “Search and Rescue park ranger horror stories” thread on Reddit from like 10 years ago. Are there any relatable stories, legends, or supernatural things going on, similar to that?

The youngest kid on Home Improvements(Mark) is GOAT for me. AJ prob ranks pretty high too though.

I think you have to like Season 1, by about episode 3 or 4. If season 1 doesn’t grab you, then it’s unlikely the rest of them will. This was a show that built off of each season, and had some of the greatest main character arch’s ever…… but again, if you aren’t vested in any of the main characters in season 1, you prob aren’t gonna give a shite how their stories play out

2003 Arkansas had a first round lineman named Shawn Andrews that did it. I was a kid and I was pissed.
And that same year, (well the MNC the previous year) Willis McGahee was injured late in the Fiesta Bowl vs Ohio State, and that started a lot of conversations in the 2003 Bowl Season IIRC. Lol but it certainly wasn’t a popular decision at that time, for anybody.

It’s “The Objective.”
Such a dark and very creepy movie. Afghanistan has so many tales of why it stays UNDEFEATED throughout history, and this movie seems like just as plausible of an explanation as any. :speechless:
And it was very well done, for what seems like a low budget, late at night IFC movie IMO. Very decent actors who don’t overplay anything, and pretty much capture the underlying fears of the unknown and potential supernatural forces that always seem present in combat.
