Is the risk of bad publicity worth that?
Any kind of business that caters to weddings lives and dies by its reviews. They're going to have to change their name at a minimum.

They may well get Justin's dick broke off in their arse in court after what they posted.

If this guy really was scamming people in multiple states, then bringing this kind of attention on himself was even more idiotic.

Not good enough imo.

Someone who already has warrants needs to take an extra charge for the good of mankind. This son of a bitch should be wheeled into the courtroom.

I get it, contracts are contracts. It sucks, but I'm not even mad at them for not wanting to refund the full amount. I'd like if they could refund $900 or something like that, but like I said I get it.

But this right here was beyond fricked up. I sincerely hope that company receives a lot of negative press from this situation, forcing them to lose out on so many potential customers and eventually going bankrupt. I'm still on disbelief that they openly said that for the public.

I understand that things are non-refundable, but Jesus Christ work with the guy. I know I wouldn't want to profit in that situation, and would probably split the difference.

This sounds like people that use deposits to cash flow their business. In other words, they can't refund the money b/c they spent it the moment it was given to them months before they actually had to do any work. It's bad practice. When someone gives me a deposit, I hold on to it as if it's a retainer and don't spend a penny until I begin work for them. I've had people cancel for no reason and if I haven't rendered services, they get their money back. It sucks, but be a decent human and work with the guy.

That's normally true.

Don't think it's gonna do them good in this case.

Here is a Reddit thread from last year with a bunch of photographers basically saying they got scammed.

Has anyone contracted for Copper Stallion Media before?

Oh man - feeling this. I've been chasing down payment for months. They keep saying that they sent it...but they didn't.

That fox6 news site had like 30 ad/trackers blocked on just basic settings.

Might want to clear browser data.

Well, safe to assume they’ll be one of the businesses finished after this. Well deserved.

It doesn't look like this has been posted but apparently the "videographer" is a serial scammer who defrauded couples in multiple states for services never rendered

Wow. Makes sense this guy is a criminal.

I can see this turning into a federal crime for this a-hole.

Talk about the definition of "winning a battle but losing the war" Wow that is some bonafide stupidity. I get that they will probably not rebook that date but working with the guy to refund some or all if they do get it rebooked is a much better way to go than " you signed a contract...sorry future mrs died...lifes a bi-ch" and take out a website trolling the guy.

I’ll put it this way: if I were getting married and could afford losing my cash on the videographer, I’d absolutely go with another one over this even if it cost me another 5K. I don’t want an evil twat like that there for my special day.
