Weather Bug App gets ridiculous with paywall, had to delete it.

Weather Bug started with pasting ads all over it's screen a while back and it was fine. Don't like the ads? Buy the premium version.
No. I'm fine.
Still gave me all I wanted in a weather app. 10 day forecast, radar and other features. So I put up with the ads.
Then I just noticed the 10 Day forecast is .. 2 days. OH, just ads, huh? Guess I have to scroll down to get the rest of the week...
Nope. More ads. Then that's it. Just 2 days. Oh, I see I wasn't signed in, so maybe if I just sign in it'll show .... nah. Still just 2 days in the 10 day forecast.

Weather Channel app is similar. Bombardment with ads. Constant notifications about sensationalist stories that have nothing to do with the weather. Global warming fear mongering BS. I had to delete it.

I went to the Weather Bug app on my phone, and the only change I found was they offer a Beta version with a new look. I still have the 10 day forecast, radar, current conditions, etc for free, though. Not sure why you're getting a subscription version.
If you're in or around NOLA, try the Fox 8 Weather App. It's got the 10 day forecast, good radar, and isn't bad with the ads as long as you stay away from the videos.
I find the local versions of weather apps are more accurate anyway.

I'm not subscribed and it'd be super weird for the PAID version to offer less than the free one.
I use the app frequently, so I don't know why anything would change for me like that. I figured it was some glitch so I closed it out, opened it up, signed in .... still only had 2 days + a boat load of ads. Either way, I'm done with it.

Eta. I've got no issues with weather bug and the 10 day showing. I don't know what your issue is but mine is the same after their update.

The greatest free weather app you've never heard of is simply called "wX". That's the name in the Google app store, I'm not sure about the Apple name.
It has everything you want and more than you will ever actually need. It pulls everything from the NWS/NOAA and puts it into one easy-to-use app that doesn't require you to go to the individual pages.

The issue with NWS is that it’s built no nonsense and no frills.
Their hurricane reporting is horrendous for example. It’s not consistent with the way they present information from storm to storm. The different filters and options typically make sense for other people interested in weather. Functionality that most people want to see is completely missing.

thanks Bruddah - I was still using the ABC3340 app I had when I was still in Birmingham. needed something for where I am in TX
