As someone said in another thread if If Kamala buried the Epstein files, went to war with iran, diesel hit record highs, gasoline getting very near Biden's highs and interest rates were going up you guys would be saying we need to take our country back. That technicality doesn't negate my point.
If we bitch about past presidents raising the price of gas when its is based on a foreign market. In this instance the leader of our nation is most responsible for the markets increase.
And yes adjusted to inflation. Under W when gas was $3.10 a gallon in 2005 that's equal to about $5 today. Still close to that. Over that if 93 or diesel.

Why don't we just give Iran some nukes and long-range ballistic missles? We've got a bunch that we don't use and we'd never miss them. It might lower gas prices to under $3. Shoot, I bet if we gave them a fully armed nuclear missle sub, we might could get gas prices under $2.

Oil is flowing through the Strait of Hormuz, but oil is not flowing through the 4 refineries closed in California by their Governor. Guess folks could buy electric vehicles?

Gas prices are an immaterial component of my household monthly spend. Would I prefer it cost $40 to fill up instead of $60? Of course. But it’s not going to change how I live my life.
I think gas prices are arguably the most visibly priced item in the country (seeing daily, numerous times, even when not “shopping”) so they are way more top of mind than they deserve.
If someone is driving an hour to work each day in an F250, then yeah, I see this mattering more to those individuals.
