Getting the gun and getting back out of the car seemed like the only questionable part in my mind.
And that question was answered when he continued to follow her around the parking lot while she retreated. Like you said, dude was an idiot. So he found out. Would have been shocked if they charged her with anything.

There a difference between feeling disrespected and feeling endangered.
Also… would have both been shooting, and neither person would have been hit… but 4 bystanders would have been.

This case, I honestly thought when she retreated to safety and then came back with a firearm she would have lost the stand your ground argument. It will be interesting in the future what cases will argue this decision as precedent. In this situation, I don't have an issue with the decision. I just don't like the precedent of retreating to safety in a public area and then returning to the confrontation and having this applied in the broader scope. Potential for some lenient judges or DA's to let people off where the cases are much further from the grey than this one.
