How long do you think a 300 mile car would take to recharge and get to 450 miles if it left it's initial destination full?
That is roughly 8 hours of driving. Which is on the far end for a daily drive.

Time to charge and the weight of the vehicles for starters.
Not an issue for over 90% of drivers. Just charge it home overnight.
EVs are the future. So is self driving

$99/month is a bargain when it’s doing 90% of the driving and I’m just watching

Supercharger? You'd be good with about 15 minutes of supercharging

Gas cars have range issues too
ICE vehicles have a host of "limitations," some of which are not present or not as significant, but people have been conditioned to be used to them.
The inconveniences of ICE vehicles are built into our brains, and the reality is people tend to dislike change, especially as you get older.
Just a small example is that with an ICE vehicle, the average person stops for fuel around 40 times a year, and that "costs" them in the neighborhood of 2.5 hours of time more than just plugging their car in when they park in their garage.
This is true for most any new product that comes to market: people focus on the things that are arguably not as good but fail to view the system in totality.

I dunno, I haven’t looked into it.
Like I said, my gripe is the disingenuousness of EV people saying that limitations of range and charging times compared to ICE is really just a mental problem with consumers.
If the EV people would admit that EV does some things better and ICE does some things better I would pipe down on that angle of discussion. But most of them can’t from what I have read, for whatever reason

Apparently the future is on hold until government subsidies return

I bought my wife a Cadillac EV and that thing is pretty sweet. It’s the fastest car I’ve ever driven. But there’s still not the charging infrastructure to confidently take it on long trips. I wouldn’t have an EV as my only car

I would absolutely consider an EV if I didn't enjoy driving fast on the Autobahn so much. The EVs have to stay in the middle lane due to range issues at high speed.
If I leave Germany I'll probably sell the ICE and go EV.

If you need to haul a large load or drive large distances fairly regularly EVs aren’t for you. The vast majority of drivers don’t need that capability though.

The reality is that it is mainly a mental hurdle for most people.
You also have the issue with seeing the word anxiety as simply a pejorative, which it is not.

This is exactly it. It is a 15-20 minute recharge to drive to Austin is a mildly equipped EV. But everyone has a mentality that you will be stuck for hours waiting.

Ive driven a tesla since 2019. Easily the best car on the market.
Have broken down a grand total of zero times.

But I don’t want to spend 20 minutes sitting at a charging station in a parking lot
And that is assuming that all of the chargers are open and I don’t have fo wait on someone else.

They let you inside stores to pee and get a water.

What is this, like Forward Facing Sonar?
OT, when will we have the Tesla of bass fishing and pleasure boats? I know there have been, and are, electric boat motors. I’m talking about electric boats that are equivalent to Tesla cars in practically.

Gas cars have range issues too. You know if there is no power or they get bad gas. Or there is no gas.
It is a solar/wind/gas generator. Basically perpetual energy.

For a hurricane you just need about 75 miles of charge to get you on one side or the other of the damage path. It is certainly an anxiety situation though.
No man. For a hurricane you need enough charge to drive eight hours to go 75 miles. I have an EV, and I love it. But I know better than to evacuate in it.

I would buy one today if they had 500 mile range and/or gas/diesel charging capability.
