I'd probably tell him. I'd rather be safe and inform him as opposed to him finding out himself. Have my hands at 10 and 2. Radio down. Car off. License and registration on my dash.
Inform him that I'm carrying and that my license/registration is on my dash. And await further instructions. It'll either be a case of I grab my information and hand it to him. Or he'll make me get out and place my weapon on the trunk of my car.
Worst case scenario is I get shot and TigerDroppings starts a #WhiteLivesMatter movement in my honor. Make sure to let them know I'm a good baw

In LA, you're obligated to, right?

If I'm carrying, my weapon is near my wallet so I'm letting him know before I reach for my license. I find that being upfront about it puts the cop at ease and they're usually appreciative.
Do people really "carry" to this extent? I don't get it. I have lived in downtown NOLA and downtown Chicago and now downtown Milwaukee for the past 14 years combined. I have never once needed a firearm, and only once or twice would I have maybe opted to have had one on me just in case things had escalated a bit more (they didn't).
To me (especially if you live in the suburbs) carrying a firearm literally about your person makes about as much sense as lugging around a defibrillator in a backpack in case you have a heart attack.

That's stupid. Right now no administration is gonna be cool with a bunch of traffic stops.
Why kick off something to make matters worse.
You could probably do 120 on the interstate and not see a single officer

I stay still and tell him that I have a permit and a firearm. I ask the officer what he wants me to do and I do it.

You are legally obligated to inform a officer if you are concealed carrying in louisiana on your self. Now if you just have a gun concealed in your car you dont have to say shite, and I dont and wouldnt.

Same thing I'd have done without all this bullshite. Tell him and then allow him to disarm me himself so he feels safe doing his job.

You are required by law to inform them, or you could lose your concealed carry license.
I actually did not know this.

You follow your state's law on the matter.
Posted on 7/9/16 at 2:20 pm to PrivatePublic
It's against the law not to tell them baw

This guy tells you exactly what to do whenever you get pulled over...

Why don't you already have your license out?
Because you don't reach for anything until the cop has approached you and asks for it. That's always rule #1.

Don't be a retard. Tell him upfront and your traffic stop will go smoothly.
Mr. Castile attempted this. Didn't workout for him. Allegedly.

Well it takes like 45 mins for the cop to come to me after the initial stop. I didn't realize cops in LA sprint to your car door.
Posted on 7/9/16 at 2:24 pm to PrivatePublic
TX law is I have to tell them. I always do anyway any state I'm in.

No, you can easily get your license out before the officer ever approaches your vehicle. Stop your car, grab your license and have it out and ready to hand to the officer.
