Correct, best advice you could have ever been given. I didn’t. That was eight years ago and I am still regretting it. There is no such thing as an amicable divorce or you should have never been married if no one cares. It hurts and it sucks. It is going to suck for a long time but in time you will move on.

Go see a lawyer asap is the right answer. And stop posting on social media about it. Be aware that all your data, emails, etc. may be subject to discovery.

Protect yourself legally and emotionally. Get a therapist to help you navigate this and expect to be in the suck for a while. BUT there is light on the other side.

AND: Take care of yourself. Get yourself to a therapist immediately to try and work through this. Get in the gym when you can. Eat well.
