I find it comforting to keep everyone posted on what’s going on. Since my wife passed away in June it has been very difficult. Today has been the most emotional I have been since it happened. We are packing up the house and tonight is our last night here. Been going through her things and finding old pictures of us when we first met. We looked like kids, we were so young and full of life. Over 18 years went by in the blink of an eye. I found notes we wrote to each other, her wedding dress. Just so many memories of the kids when they were little. I lost it earlier today while taking down our bed and my son said Dad everything is going to be ok. I am blessed to have many people that care about us in my life but damn this is so hard and I wouldn’t wish this pain on my worst enemy. I forgot to add since she passed away the bedroom lamp has been on. I didn’t want her to be in the dark. Tomorrow night the room will be dark…and that hurts a lot.

Bless you man. Take help when you need it. Remember that accepting help is just refusing to give up and in no way a sign of weakness. Praying for you and your family.

I've been married for 18 years, so this hits extra hard.

So sorry you're going through all this.

Don't know how to alleviate your pain, but I sure wish I did.

I know it must be harder than I can possibly imagine. Try and stay strong for your kids, but it's okay if you break down. Take care and be well.

Damn bro. It got really dusty in my office just now......

I cared for my dad in the last 6 months of his live as he struggled with congestive heart failure. Long story short, out of all the family including a stepmom, I ended up with him every day until the end. That was over 6 years ago and I've never been back in that house and never will. I don't want to remember my dad that way. Moving on was the right thing to do for me. I'm sure it will be for you too.

God Bless you and your family.

Why is everyone cutting onions in this house right now?

The pain will eventually dull. Lean into your family and their support, it sounds like you have a good one.

This.

None of this works without you. Be there for each other. All of this is easy for me to spew. I have no idea what I would do.

Make time for yourself in all of this. So sorry.
