The list of Louisiana weaknesses:

quote:

Weaknesses: Health, Crime, Voting Rights

I thought voting rights were pretty standard throughout the states. How is Louisiana weak on voting rights? If your home addresses is in Louisiana, you can vote. What am I missing?

New Jersey gets a bad rap, but it's really not a bad place to live. Yes, cost of living is high, and taxes are too high, but overall, it's not that bad.

Besides the high cost of living and the ridiculous taxes, the biggest problem with New Jersey is it's full of people from New Jersey.

New Jersey makes the list suspect

Plus no Utah, Texas, Arizona, Nevada or Florida which are the states everybody is moving to

Feels like a list made specifically to exclude those evil red states that are kicking everyone's arse.

Texas and Arizona were their bottom two and Nevada was also bottom 10.

I am shocked they didn't figure out how to put Florida down there as well.

I wonder how many New Jersey residents have moved to FL in the last 2 years. I would imagine it's a significant number.

CNBC reporter picks a bunch of blue states as the best in the country. Shocking, I tell ya.

Well, they start out by listing their criteria, and some of them are democratic party platform planks.

The best places in the country can be measured by influx/outflux. Simple. California and New York suck, and Texas and Florida are good.

Looking at his list of 10 worst states makes his bias even more obvious.

Then why not New Hampshire? I thought it and Vermont were little carbon copies of each other?

Hawaii? Cost of living/real estate, expensive AF.
Iowa, ND, Minnesota, Vermont & Maine, no thanks, cold AF.
Nebraska, way too many tornadoes for me.
NJ, Oregon & Wash. are the best ones in the list.

S. FL. is nice, great weather, beaches, lots of stuff to do but...it's got so damn expensive here it's crazy. Single family homes and townhouses are out of reach and the worst part is that salaries stalled in comparison with cost of living.

How expensive is it? A normal townhouse (1400-1700 sq. ft.) go around for $380-500K and a decent 1800-2800 sq. ft. single family home in a nice neighborhood go around for $800K-1.1M. The average standard combined family income is below $120K. Do the math. It's crazy. I'm leaving in several years.

Horeshit, Texas isn't in the top 10.

1. Vermont
2. Maine
3. Hawaii
4. North Dakota
5. Minnesota
6. Washington
7. Nebraska
8. New Jersey
9. Oregon
10. Iowa

That gives lefties a major case of redass.

So taxes are high, cost of living is high, it’s got shitty North Atlantic winters, lots of people, extremely strong unions which make work difficult, and corrupt government, but it’s not that bad.

Worse than that. Texas is #2 on their worst states to live in list.

I can see Texas not being in the 10 best with a good argument. Putting it as the 2nd worst state to live in is just laughable.

Hearing the OT complain about states that get a few months of cold weather, while living in a state that gets a few months of hotter than hell weather, always makes me smile

i'm a hypocrite because i say the same thing... but i don't think i could actually move back north. i talk about it all the time, but i really doubt i ever do it and weather is the biggest reason why.
