Seattle and Portland in your backyard? Forget it.

The Cascade mountain chain runs from Canada down into California. As long as you're on the opposite side of those mountains, it's like Seattle and Portland don't even exist.

I live 2 hours away from both.

It's amazing how I'm able to avoid them if I want to.

He also linked another article he did for These 10 states are America’s worst places to live in 2022

quote:

10. Nevada
9. Tennessee
8. Indiana
7. New Mexico
6. Louisiana
5. Missouri
4. South Carolina
3. Oklahoma
2. Texas
1. Arizona

quote:

Louisiana is America’s unhealthiest state, according to the United Health Foundation, with the nation’s third highest cholesterol level, and the fourth highest rate of premature deaths. According to FBI statistics, the violent crime rate is among the nation’s highest.

Strength: Health Resources

Goes on about how unhealthy LA is, then uses Health Resources as a strength?

6th worst state to live in.

To be fair, that's apparently better than Missouri, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, and Arizona.

What do you do there?

Traveling to Nebraska is like traveling back in time, in a good way. You see kids outside playing sports and climbing trees and fishing and playing in the creeks and woods, like kids used to do before the technology boom. Crime is low and the sports fans are the best anywhere.

It's fairly obvious that "inclusiveness" is a huge part of this methodology... but they even say that over 3 in 5 young people don't care about "inclusiveness" when it comes to relocating for a job.

quote:

The latest annual survey of Gen Z and millennials by Deloitte found nearly two in five willing to turn down an assignment if it doesn’t align with their values.

Why focus so hard on that?

Yes, that is a rhetorical question.

New Jersey gets a bad rap, but it's really not a bad place to live. Yes, cost of living is high, and taxes are too high, but overall, it's not that bad.
