other then North Dakota, Iowa, and Nebraska, that list is full of liberal shithole cities so the whole list is pure BS

To be fair, they didn’t include Cali, New York or Illinois on the list.

For the past several years, we have also considered inclusiveness of state laws in areas like protections against discrimination and voting rights. That’s not politics, it’s business.

Lol “business”. Anyone with money is moving to Florida and Texas and working from there.

#3?

I've never been to Hawaii so I can't say much, but I thought the locals were racist and hated new comers?

It would suck living there, I would think. Its not like you can drive a few hours to another state or find a direct flight to somewhere on the East coast.. Or anything like that.

Vermont- Beautiful scenery but how can a decent person live among people who support Bernie Sanders?

The Great Lakes and Lake Michigan Beaches are awesome. If you like to hunt and fish and want four seasons albeit Winter can be tough it's pretty good. It's not like you're being forced to live in Downtown Detroit or Flint. Large areas of wilderness and cheap housing in Michigan and as I said plenty of outdoors stuff to do outside of the cities.

for sure. i'm not arguing it's a bad state or anything, but having it at 1 seems a little crazy to me as you can get the same thing in states with more favorable weather and/or politics and taxes

These lists are more about the best states to poor in. Or, I guess now the best states to be trans in.

Their worst states list cites Texas drawing skilled workers like crazy then cites the bad things like people without health insurance and lack of subsidized childcare.

Skilled workers have insurance and can afford day care. They don’t care about that

It’s pretty simple - don’t talk about politics with strangers you see in public.

I think Bernie is absolutely insane but Vermont is one of my favorite places to visit and I would live there in a heartbeat.

Well, they start out by listing their criteria, and some of them are democratic party platform planks.

Yup, and the way democrats feel about those issues is counted as a plus, and the way republicans feel about them is a strike against.

If you make Louisiana money you would enjoy a nice tent in Hawaii with the homeless.

Beautiful state. Gorgeous state. A lot of it is untouched.

But the cost of living there is crazy.

It is 72 right now at 1:12pm on July 14th.

We returned there(spent our honeymoon r there 18 years ago in June '19. Stayed at an AirBnB near Bristol. The first day we were there it was in the 50's and wind was howling down the mountains. The next couple of days were beautiful. Upper 60's and pollen everywhere
