The old V8 version got about 11 MPG.

The new one is averaging 16.8 MPG.

Wrong. I have a 04 Tundra. I average 15-17, and have gotten as high as 20 on the highway if not speeding.

Saw an 05 with 83k on it. They were asking a little more than I paid for my 04 when I bought it with 6k on it.

I predict it's 50% twin-turbo issues, and 50% it just being to ugly to drive.

Sold my f150 and hopefully the new tundra I want will be in by the end of the month.

Motor is stronger than my ecoboost and sounds more like a v8. The grill is definitely a different look but the inside is much much nicer than any other truck out there. The 12 inch screen and huge sunroof is so nice.

It's because they are playing fake v8 sounds through your stereo.

Maybe they used a better bitrate than Ford. Because Ford does it too.

They think we are idiots.

I have owned four and put 250K each on the first three

Current truck is my first Tundra, bough with cash, 2014 with 150k and I plan to get it to 300k. Only non-minor maintenance so far was a drive shaft replacement at 130k bc it was squealing a little

There’s a very high chance that my next truck will be a tundra

This.

Rev the engine with the door closed. Vroom vroom! Beefy V8 sound go brrr!

Now open the door and rev the engine. Enjoy the dulcet tones of a breathy whistly turbo V6 that sounds like literally nothing.

WTF did you do to it. I get 12 pulling a 21 ft bass boat and 16.5 driving any other time.

Lots of those too, not sure what the point is.

I'll make an interpretation to his point. People have to get out from under the truck notes.

I got 13 on my 2010, and I get 13 on my 2015.

I suppose I might stretch that a little on long trips, but no way I have ever seen 15.

I’ll cross 200k this week. I will keep it a while longer, I don’t like the new look or thought of a v6 for such a heavy truck. Will wait and see, maybe consider the hybrid and also see if they fix that ugly arse front end.

Better look into waste gate issues on the 2022 Tundra. I was interested until I saw all the issues on the Tundra forum.

Good gracious, it’s the first model year of a complete redesign of truck & engine. Toyota isn’t immune to reliably issues, but if there’s one company that’ll fix those quickly, it’s Toyota. I’d much rather drive one g those than any Ford, GM…..or Dodge product.

I get 14.5-14.8 mpg with my 2016, mostly city driving. I don’t drive slow.

It’s a 100% certainty that the OT hates the looks of every new truck introduced.
