The new body style on the tundras is horrendous.

That low flat front end and hood area has that elcamino look to it

I have owned four and put 250K each on the first three and never did anything to them except routine maintenance. They are stronger, better trucks than half ton fords. I have owned both.

Aren’t they all now turbo v6s, no v8s anymore?

Probably has something to do with gas prices, and the MPG of the Tundra.

Better look into waste gate issues on the 2022 Tundra. I was interested until I saw all the issues on the Tundra forum.

Yes. I’ve heard the engine came from an existing Lexus model so it wasn’t a brand new, built from scratch thing like the ecoboost so hopefully it avoids those bugs.

they had fun laughing about 11 mpg should never be a concern if you have a truck mpg is completely unimportant

those trucks are super bad for mpg and they cant afford to drive them AND pay the 8 yrs of notes on that $70k truck

The old V8 version got about 11 MPG.

The new one is averaging 16.8 MPG.

What's funny is almost all of the used ones for sale are most likely at or above sticker.

So yeah, I'd guess many can't afford the note on a $70K truck....So the (ford or whatever other brands) at $90K is affordable?
