I'm actually surprised they're getting that much torque out of a V6. They must've sacrificed HP for torque on the camshaft.
The Max part of the iForce Max powertrain means it’s a hybrid, which is where the extra bit of torque comes from, but the engine makes 479 lb-ft on its own so it’s no slouch.
I've had 3 or 4 Instagram ads work on me in the last year and all have been great purchases. 3 became great gifts for my fiance and son, and one was for me(some South African dried beef sausage snacks) and I have zero regrets with any of them.

this and do what you can to make sure the moonroof is right. I used to sell used cars and I saw a lot of Expeditions, Navigators and Ford trucks traded in that had moonroof problems. Cracked rear panes, messed-up sunshades, front pane slightly off-track so it doesn't open or close at all.
Really really watch that transmission too. Pay particular attention to the way it shifts from 3rd to 4th. If that shift is weird or slurred or hard, that's basically a smoking gun that the transmission is on its way out.

PSA THE “CVT” IN THE CIVIC HYBRID HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CVT IN A REGULAR CIVIC ITS NOT EVEN REMOTELY THE SAME GEARBOX
IT IS MORE ROBUST, MECHANICALLY SIMPLE AND IS PROVEN TO BE LONG TERM DURABLE OVER 20+ YEARS
CARS HAVE HAD CVTS FOR LIKE 40 YEARS AND NISSAN ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO HAVE EVER HAD MAJOR MAJOR PROBLEMS
THOSE WHO SEE THE THREE LETTERS AND SCREAM BLOODY MURDER AND CLUTCH THEIR PEARLS ARE IGNORANT OF THE REALITIES OF MODERN CARS
THE HONDA CIVIC HYBRID IS PROBABY THE BEST CAR ANYONE CAN BUY FOR UNDER $30,000
IT’S NICE AND COMFORTABLE AND FASTER THAN A CIVIC SI AND IT GETS 50 MPG EASILY AND REPEATABLY
WHAT’S NOT TO LIKE

re: How does the OT feel about new vehicle extended warranties?

Don't do it unless it is directly through the manufacturer. 3rd party warranties are largely bullshite and a nightmare to try to get anything done with.
New Yukon with the diesel.
I have a 2024 Silverado 1500 with the same diesel and I cannot recommend it enough. You will get near 30 MPG on the highway effortlessly, it is very smooth and refined and powerful in daily driving and if you ever need to, it is a towing powerhouse.
And before anyone says it, yes, the diesel has the oil pump belt that will need to be changed around 150k miles if you have the vehicle that long, but personally I would rather plan for that down the road than take my chances in the much shorter term with lifters and bearings in either of the V8s.

Go straight to horny jail
The fact that people like this have any kind of platform at all is a very clear indicator of how far gone we are and how deeply the problems run.

Obvious cultural problems aside, this is a very well-done show. Production is awesome.
Haven't had 2 cars since I got out of the car business.
At one point while I lived in Montana, I had a really nice and clean 2002 Outback as a winter vehicle and a 2008 Corvette for a fun car. They made quite a pair in the driveway and I loved them both for very different reasons.

Toronto from Lake Ontario is pretty good.
Sydney, Australia
Calgary isn't half bad either

My two favorite cosmic scale mind-blowers
If you shrank the scale of the local universe down to where the distance from the Earth to the Sun was 1 centimeter, the nearest star would still be 453 miles away.
If you wanted to fly around the Sun in a regular passenger airliner, you would be on that plane for a year.

If you’ve gotta have something like that, get a lightly used GX460 that ACTUALLY has a V8 and is a nicer car than a current-gen Land Cruiser will ever be. It will run for 300,000 miles on basic maintenance.
