I’ve stared at that gif for 5 minutes

If you have good credit and can get a great rate through a credit union or whatever, I’ve never seen the point of a private individual(business is different) paying $30,000+ cash for a car unless you have so much money you could buy 10 of them.
Keep the cash, drive the car. I’d rather have $35k in the bank to do whatever I want with rather than tie all of that up in a vehicle.
I’m not a business major, so maybe I’m missing something, but that’s how I’ve always looked at it.

A gallon of milk doesn’t cost $50,000. Nice comparison, dummy.

I swear, we deal with this shite EVERY DAY. After giving them a price...."What if I pay cash??". People are fricking stupid.

Damn. A car salesman. What a shitty job.

I sell manufactured houses. Get this question time. I typically say “sure” but the reality is it’s all a cash deal as far as we’re concerned, the lenders cut us a check just as you would.

Cash when you are paying a contractor to do work at your house is king.

Car salesmen are the worst.

Paying cash does nothing for the dealership. We prefer you finance. We make more money when you finance.

Another thing is we live in a credit world so paying cash does nothing to boost your credit. Credit is like muscle, if you don't use it, you lose it. Keep your credit strong.
My credit is already higher than Snoop Dogg.

Over 30 years, it likely closer to $600,000 or more.

And some people are really bad at math

Spoken like a Under Armour wearing car salesman. Lol.

To me it's less about pricing and more about people who think they're going to get quicker and better service by going in and paying cash.
Those people (reasonably) think that they can be in and out, better for everyone, etc. and don't appreciate that nobody at the dealership is going to want to deal with you and everyone with mediocre credit financing a truck for 72 months is going to get priority.

That's not trending in a way that proves your point right now.
It's thinking like that that results in poor financial decisions, like paying cash for a vehicle.
Time in the market beats timing the market.

It was a quip about the current economy, not financial advice.

Anyone with decent credit that doesn’t bring their own financing is a lazy piece of shite and they deserve to get a point or two tacked on. Have fun in F&I, I’ve done my job.
