I'm about halfway through. Pretty good. They talked about Louisiana quite a bit so far since they are both Louisiana baws.

I haven't listened to it yet, but I know Trace Adkins has had an interesting life. Played football for La Tech and had to give it up because of a knee injury. Got shot by his ex wife and the bullet was really close to hitting his heart and he almost died. I think he did some time at one point in his life.

They talked about that. A guy he worked with introduced him to a band in Lafayette and that's how he got his start.
I'm wondering if his cameo in Deep Water Horizon will come up...

That's right! I knew there were a few things I was missing. He is or was on his 3rd wife right? I thought I read something about one of his wives where they filed for divorce then they agreed to recall it and stay together then 2 months later she filed for divorce again..

Trace worked for Diamond. Think he filmed a video on one of their rigs. They had an autographed guitar in their break room in their old bldg off I-10 in Katy.

I know it’s part of his shtick but if you aren’t from SELA you would think Covington is nothing more than a trashy ghetto. IMO he’s a lot better at podcasting than he is at stand up comedy.

I only got 10 minutes in and I had to turn it off. They should rename this one Dumb and Dumberer.
