So, you're saying our problem before Trump took office for his second term was too many good middle class jobs?
I'm sorry but your economic arguments read like those syndicated editorials in small town newspapers where a rich old guy explains to the dumb workers why companies cutting their benefits to pay out more to their shareholders is ultimately better for them.

I really wish people would start to realize that the US government has evolved to the point these parties really don't mean anything and that the power is in the hand of the lobbyist and that there is only one country in the world allowed to lobby the US government and that is Israel.
The only thing elections do is determine which party gets to benefit the most because power is valuable (possibly more valuable than money?) and that if people really wanted to make a difference, they will stop voting. Why stop voting? Because then that makes things unpredictable and there is nothing those running elections hate more than anything is the unknown so if people stop voting then both parties will do things to appeal to the voters again because everyone want to get this base that has stopped participating in elections, but in any given election the people can decide to start voting in droves again. So creating less predictable elections will get parties to try to appeal to the people again.
But evidently people who don't vote is the problem, yet voting has gotten this country in debt $40 trillion

All spending bills must originate in the House. Yes, it's full of shithead RINOs, but direct your ire appropriately.

Yes, I am flat out saying it’s bad for the economy if work that could be done by one person is done by 2 people. I am flat out saying that featherbedding is bad.
The economic goal of any nation, as of any individual, is to get the greatest results with the least effort. The whole economic progress of mankind has consisted in getting more production with the same labor.

What Trump did wrong as far as the national debt is concerned:
- Covid shut downs. He did the relatively right thing by mostly letting the states handle it, but shutdown should have never happened and he should have prevented it
- money printing our way out of it afterwards
Trump was never anything resembling a fiscal conservative. He believes in spending and spending big.

Trump is essentially a 1980s Democrat

Trump is doing such a good job bringing the deficit down and keeping us out of war.

Remember when Elon Musk tried to scrub the budget to get things under control. He faced resistance and backlash from all over. People want a balanced budget, but they want other people to make the sacrifices. We have no one to blame but ourselves ( or maybe the gutless politicians).

Need to stop handing out money to illegals and lazy fricks

Just to name a few condoms and aids prevention to other countries. Trans surgery and drag books to other countries. EBT has been cut by over 5.4 million plus many with it now have to buy food and not candy and sida
We spent more than all that stuff cost for years on the war already.

Neither Republicans or democrats are doing anything to stop it. We are being scammed.
It's just political theater designed around funneling public dollars, nothing more. We're seeing the nepotistic, non-competitive human centipede show itself in the defense sector to the point we won't win another modern war. Capitalism without innovation is stagnation.

If sleepy Joe were still president those numbers would be even worse. Just imagine the debt with all the free crap democrats want and don't forget about all the u said fraud
See this is the fricking problem. We don’t have to pretend to know how we got here. There is proof - look at the numbers. I swear to god future Americans will look back at this time and wonder what the hell was wrong with 1/3 of the voters how could we have been so stupid.

This is a tired old lie that keeps getting repeated.
Food stamps, Medicaid, section 8 housing and the like are CORPORATE SUBSIDIES under the guise of helping the poor (which obviously, all poor people are poor because they are bad lazy people).
When a dollar gets issued in food stamps, the person it is issued to is merely a pass through for that dollar eventually winding up in the pockets of Wal Mart, Tyson Chicken or some other corporation.
And who staffs those companies? Go to any chicken plucking plant and who do you find working there? When you get hired at Wal Mart they give you instructions on how to get on government programs, which basically subsidize their labor model.

You could cut all govt spending by 75% and still do the necessary things govt is meant to do.

Big Beautiful Bill just adding to it. Now Republicans are as bad as democrats. We are fricked as a nation.

Both parties are to blame.
2008 to 2016 it went in to hyper-drive; from $10 Trillion in 2008 to $20 Trillion by 2016. I hope no one will be able to double it again...but they keep trying.
During that time (2010-ish) republicans got their $2 Trillion Bush-era tax cut extension, but they had to trade Obama for gays in the military (ending DADT). The negotiation and agreement actually took place in the same week, but history does not exactly point that trade out...LOL. There is a whole list of deals like that.
and...no other country has ever take care of the world like we do!
