Well, the vaccine was in fact released to older folks and others that were at high risk months before young, healthy folks were allowed to receive it.

A lot of people with established jobs and positions had no choice but to get it.
Completely starting your career over due to the shot may have been an option for a lot of people, but not for everyone.
