That will be a collosal waste of money. How does something like that, in that location even get insured?

Henry's plan is to turn the blighted property into a sprawling complex of water parks, youth sporting facilities, two hotels, an 8.5-acre clear lake for swimming, a movie studio, amphitheater, retail outlets and other amenities.

The remediation costs are in the $10 million range. Nothing will ever be there but a rotting theme park.

This will be exactly like Blue Bayou but on a larger scale.

This property has been the biggest scam in NOLA for the last 20 years. Developer comes up with plan, city gives them money, developer passes it down to the next developer. Rinse and repeat. Drew Brees was even in on it at one point.

That's pretty ambitious. What is this supposed to cost?
Posted on 9/1/24 at 10:39 am to Major Dutch Schaefer
I can only imagine how awful that place would be if it was ever opened.

Bumping. Getting closer to unenthusiastic hand jobs for everyone.

FIFY
I'd be shocked if a shovel ever breaks ground there.

Probably needs the lease to get financing.

I bet it would have made a kick-arse paintball complex.
