I can’t think of a worse “investment “

How in the frick can anyone savvy enough to have money to invest think this dream has money making potential?

Did they not just witness Ja Land fail? Do they have no access to the reasons why Astroworld failed? The reasons it failed are there in NO East x100. And those reasons mostly don’t swim. So what do we do? Build a waterpark where tourists are warned not to travel.

Even if somebody is spending someone else’s money, how can this person ever expect to work again after such a predictable grand failure occurs?

If New Orleans had a competent government, they’d be marketing this site as a trucking/logistics/intermodal hub. Instead, the City is run by corrupt and incompetent thieves.

Can tax breaks sufficiently cover their catastrophic losses?

Do the shootings and gang violence come with the price of admission?

This. Logistics and warehousing is about all this land is good for. Maybe a huge truck stop. It's just swampland and depressed neighborhoods. But never underestimate the ability of the federal government to underwrite a liberal fool's errand.

We’re planning a nice, long family vacation.

Oh yeah? Where to?

New Orleans East.

It’s amazing how they keep the story alive that this site has a chance in hell of ever being developed into anything close to the pie in the sky ideas they talk about

I think bayou Phoenix pitched the idea to get the support of New Orleans east residents. Anyone who has even a small ounce of brain cells should understand the hotel / water park idea is comical. This needs to be an industrial area, especially with the Port of NOLA expansion.

I don’t think the city is going to give the bayou Phoenix group any of the funding they’re demanding until there’s an actual good plan or Henry can show he has the financial backing for the project.

I can confidently say, this will never actually happen.

And, if I am wrong, and it does happen, I can confidently say I will never step foot on these grounds.

It will cost more do demo the old amusement park than the land is worth.
