Yesterday a woman that works with my step dad was driving down Hwy 422 in north E Feliciana had her vehicle swept off the road in high water. Luckily a co worket was behind her and was able to call 911 and get het rescued. The crazy thing is they found anoher woman where the co worker that was that had been in the water for over 2 hours. Basically same thing tried to cross high water. She told the rescue folks she was about to let the tree go and let the lord take her. They both survived.

The produce stand has water in it. I think the ymca too. Of course all the houses across the street have 5 ft of water. The new neighborhood they built right by canal is fricked as well.

Which neighborhood are you talking about? Off Anselmo?

Just drove through there, no standing water in neighborhood.
Bayou Fountain is still in its banks as of 30 minutes ago.

Bayou Manchac near Hoo Shoo. House was built to withstand a 20' flood.

Bayou Manchac is in the background, normally down a 15-20' hill.

Just drive down Perkins from Siegen to Essen and house after house after house have multiple feet of water in them. Unfortunate.

The Vermilion River in Lafayette is as high as I've ever seen it. The scariest thing is, it's actually running upstream at the Hilton location, and it's still raining.

Here is The Outback location:

You can see the people at the hotel behind it got trapped by the waters. Some vehicles were beginning to float.

If that's a serious post... This far south the river is the highest point so everything flows away from the Mississippi.
