Jones Creek at Jones Creek Rd is the highest I've ever seen it by far and it's not close to done rising yet. It's threatening homes in that little neighborhood to the north of the creek and west of the road.

Anyone have any news about the neighborhoods on south Bluebonnet that are west of the soccer complex? I have some family down there that I haven't heard from.

Closest gauge to that location -- still rising but looks like it might be cresting soon.

No, we got lucky. Neighbors across the street got it. Yard was graded just a little higher than the other side.

Brother is about to get it from Beaver Creek. He can't even get home.

ETA: How y'all looking?

Does anyone have a map that shows what flooded in 1983 over in Livingston parish (Walker specifically)? I'm tried to find a baseline to compare to what we can expect this weekend but no luck finding the 1983 flood map

Don't think it would have been wise to come home today either. Stay safe.

We have some friends staying in PENSACOLA who have water getting into their house in Manchac Harbor in prairieville. We both agreed there's no sense in going back and getting stuck in a car with water..especially considering by this PM we likely won't be able to access prairieville via 10, 12, 55, backroads, etc.

Nothing we can do about it at this point.

Thanks, dawg. It's the first day of sunshine in 7 days, if that makes you feel better.

Just moved to Keystone of Galvez in Prairieville. Can someone familiar with this area tell me if I should expect water getting in my house at any point through this shite?

TIA

I was in EBR during the 83 flood

North side of Old Jeff flooded
Tiger Bend across from the old WHS flooded
Shenandoah and WO Landing did not flood
Parts along Hoo Shoo Too took water
East side of Centurion took water
Highland Road flooded there at the park
Water backed up Hurricane Creek and flooded Howell Park
Water backed up Claycut Bayou and flooded parts of Industriplex
Water backed up all along Bayou Fountain flooding South of LSU

Every tributary of the Amite backs up as the crest on the Amite pushed South. The Amite hasn't crested at DS yet so the points South won't crest till much later. Perhaps til Monday.

The worst is yet to come for DS on South as far as the river flooding goes.
