You’re right. It makes me sad—I’m still a big fan of the organization but it changed when Linda left. She should have gotten the job. ...

re: LSU Band...How difficult is it to make the drum line? - tigerbandpiccolo
Such an interesting story! I was very creative on that fateful day in October 2005, let me tell ya. I was an all state flute player and principal in orchestra my junior year and second chair symphonic my senior year. First chair All south, ark La Tex, had full music rides to many good music...

re: LSU Band...How difficult is it to make the drum line? - tigerbandpiccolo
You and I both know it’s harder to make piccolo, or was when we were there. There were only 8-12 of us for a few years and 40+ that got invited to preseason (after auditions) and even seniors got cut. Now there’s like a jillion of them. ...

re: Boiled crawfish restaurant in Monroe/west Monroe - tigerbandpiccolo
Update: we went to Clawdaddy’s. Oysters on half shell were perfect. I ordered three lbs of crawfish. I’ll say the flavor was great- nice and spicy. They had 2-3 decent sized ones but the rest were small and I swear half my tray were crawfish without a tail. So for my fix, it worked. No good craw...

re: I thought I’ve Seen It All Boiling Crawfish Until Yesterday - tigerbandpiccolo
Can someone please explain how this actually seasons the crawfish tails? As if the seasons somehow permeate the tail shell? Aside from getting it on your fingers before you eat it? The only way I can assume this was good crawfish is if he had well seasoned the boil itself. ...

re: Boiled crawfish restaurant in Monroe/west Monroe - tigerbandpiccolo
I thought the sprinkle seasoning was a joke. Then I went to a crawfish boil in Little Rock and they sprinkled it on the crawfish after they poured them out the pot. I about died. ...

Boiled crawfish restaurant in Monroe/west Monroe - tigerbandpiccolo
Ideally I would be traversing to south Louisiana to obtain my fix, but am going to Monroe today and need recommendations on the best place to go for boiled crawfish at a restaurant. TIA...

re: What’s the obsession with single basin kitchen sinks in new construction and remodeling? - tigerbandpiccolo
Say no to accent walls. Yes I wallpapered in my powder bath in my Baton Rouge house in 2017 and paid someone $300. The quote for an even smaller size in Little Rock was $700 so my husband and a friend said they could do it. It has not been done and I feel bad that it’s been so difficult. Probably...

re: What’s the obsession with single basin kitchen sinks in new construction and remodeling? - tigerbandpiccolo
Probably so. We are 2.5 years into flipping a 4500 sq ft home and have done the majority (aside from new island and counters, painting the exterior brick) by ourselves. I have to pace myself when asking the husband to start on the next project. We just transformed a useless downstairs closet by the ...

re: What’s the obsession with single basin kitchen sinks in new construction and remodeling? - tigerbandpiccolo
I have to soak certain things. I cook my gumbo and sauces in a magnalite and I hate that it doesn’t fit in my old double basin sink. Older home and I miss my single basin. ...

re: What’s the obsession with single basin kitchen sinks in new construction and remodeling? - tigerbandpiccolo
I’ve had both and I prefer the single basin. My big gumbo pots, baking sheets and what not don’t fit in double and are difficult to wash in there. I used the main sink to soak things, wash dishes, etc. I had a smaller prep sink in my island and used that for defrosting. I also used it for when I...

re: Anyone ever had abdominal surgery - tigerbandpiccolo
When is your surgery? Keep us updated and if you have any questions I will help if I can! I’m not a doctor but having done it a few times, I can at least speak to my experiences. I cannot reiterate enough drinking plenty of water, eat lean protein and veggies once they offer them. Don’t be me af...

re: Anyone ever had abdominal surgery - tigerbandpiccolo
I can’t speak for your exact procedure, sounds like yours may be a gastrectomy or at the least, not laparoscopic. Mine was lower abdominal, obviously, and yours may be higher with a midline incision. Either way, you won’t need to lift anything more than 8-10 lbs for likely 4-6 weeks, minimum. It’s f...
