Unfortunately, just the rainfall part. Then the waiting to see how bad it all gets begins.
That is my main childhood flood memory, hanging out on muggy sunny afternoons watching the flood water come up into the neighborhood.

What's the possibility of gulf moisture getting sucked north on the backside of this thing and dumping more rain in the BR area?

What's highland creek looking like.
I have a buddy who lives on Stoney Creek and the water is in his backyard as of this morning. The creek runs behind all those houses on Stoney so I guess you are fine if your house isnt on that street

I know this may be premature as we still have tomorrow to see how things look but what are the chances of school closures for Monday? Will it only be areas near the Amite or do you think it might be area wide? I just don't know if this will get better for some areas or if it will all continue to get worse. I have never dealt with anything like this.
And it looks like the radar is finally calming down a little. Is this the beginning of the end or will it flare up again?

Easterly Lakes in Watson is ok but that's about it.
Denham Springs High School will flood. My office is across the street and started getting water at 7am this morning. Lived here all my life and through the 83 flood. This is much much worse. Biblical is the only way to describe it.
