Don't think they had anywhere near the problems as the 5.4 2 valve that were used in the trucks and SUV's though

Misread that as Pantera, which was manufactured by De Tomaso and powered originally by a mid-mounted Ford 351 cubic-inch (5.8L) Cleveland V8 engine pushing around 330 horsepower.

Taurus. It was the only one to ever make it from platform name to marketing name.
The Panther moniker is pretty well-known though because they were produced for so long, tended to last a very long time (I have seen examples being parted out with >800k miles on them), and were in such visible applications.

The Town Car was a staple of livery drivers and realtors for 20 years. A low miles TC will still bring a substantial premium from hired car professionals.

Someone in my family has had a panther from 1982-2012. Ford LTD, Mercury Grand Marquis, and Lincoln Town Cars
I learned to drive with a Town Car and want to buy a low mileage one for nostalgia sake

Was never a problem if things were torqued properly, I have a 2000 5.4L 2V with the non-revised heads. Friend had a 1999 Lightning and it spit several over torqued plugs, we TimeCerted both heads after the 3rd plug left the chat. I have the tool kit and a couple of inserts in the glove box of my truck but in 20 years they've never needed to be used.

My first car was a 97 Grand Marquis and I loved that car. My brothers daughter is driving it now, pretty sure it’s got like 800k miles now lol. They just go and go. I think I’m gonna buy a Marauder someday, those things are bad arse.
