A 10-year-old boy in Kentucky allegedly committed suicide because of the relentless bullying over his colostomy bag, according to reports.

Seven Bridges’ mother said she returned from the grocery store Saturday morning to find the fifth-grader hanged himself at the family’s home in Louisville, news station WHAS reported.

“I saw my son dead,” his mom, Tami Charles, told the news station. “That’s something in my head.”

Charles said Seven struggled with the bullies he encountered on the bus ride to Kerrick Elementary School, where he was taunted because of a bowel condition, news station WDRB reported.

The child was born with a medical defect that required him to undergo more than 26 surgeries and use a colostomy bag, his family said. Bullies reportedly often tormented him because of the smell from the condition.

I will pray to God that he be merciful and allow this sweet little boy to walk into the streets of gold in his heavenly kingdom.

How does a 10 year old know how to hang himself? Can someone explain that to me?

More evidence as to why I will not allow my kids to ride the school bus.

Nothing good happens there and I will just take the pain of driving them to school myself.

Kids are vicious beasts no doubt but part of growing up is learning to cope with that. Taking them to school so they don’t have to be exposed to the ills of being around other kids isn’t doing them any favors. For a kid with a colonoscopy bag the situation is a little different.

We all used to sing Journey and Styx songs on the back of my bus. I also felt a few boobs as well.
If my kid had a colostomy bag I’d keep him off the bus though. Probably home school as well. Sad story.

Wow, that’s rough, so young.

A kid in my class hung himself in 7th grade, I never learned the true story as to why. It certainly wasn’t bullying, he was one of the popular kids and a star football player. How a child can come to that conclusion and act on it, I’ll never understand

I mean it's a simple concept. they aren't going for neck breaks, just asphyxiation, which is a horrifying way to go.

My best friend shot himself when we were 10. I really never got over it. Do not bring it up hardly ever. But man...I would do anything to see kids get over these humps without taking their young lives. Time for us all to not be silent.

Yes...10 year olds are capable of a lot more than we think. Think about it. Some are headed to middle school and some are even in it (5 thru 8 in some cities across U.S.). They see a lot. Guard yours.
