Scottie Hunter on WAFB on the scene in his rain jacket just said it’s raining sideways

SW Alabama, the AL coast and the western Florida panhandle are still getting lashed.

Here on the beach in Gulf Shores. Getting absolutely pounded with wind and rain since 5:30. No let up in sight. House is swaying like a swing.

Is one of her legs smaller than the other? I assumed it was an angle or photoshop mistake but then I looked at the pictures on the prior page and again it looks like she has a tiny leg relative to the other.

In Santa Rosa because my family came down and rented one of the taller, most narrow houses right on the beach. We've been getting pounded with heavy rain, sustained winds, and gusts for hours now; this is one of the more powerful tropical storms since I've lived down here for 6 years, especially for just getting outer bands. This tall arse narrow house has been swaying like crazy, it's an odd feeling walking up and down the steps.
Waves were breaking and rolling all the way to the end of our back deck earlier today, there was ZERO beach left other than the small dunes at the foot of the deck. The dunes are basically permanently under water now and waves are rolling under the house. The wind hasn't stopped howling for hours now either, with so much pressure it's opening interior doors and we can't close the door leading to the attic.
Shits crazy for the outer bands of a fairly disorganized TS, and I've lived a block from the beach for 6 years now in Ft. Walton. This one could've been really bad later in the year or with slightly different circumstances, makes me dread the rest of the season to come.

I live north of there. It has been absolutely ridiculous. Still torrential rains and wind. Did that all night long.
