Seems like every hurricane hits further east than the original cones from 3-4 days out

Because that’s the natural way they want to go. You have to have high pressure to steer them west and this time of year the models over do the ridges

A couple of Taiwanese grad students assisted me on a field trip and a snake swam by. TGS asked, "Is it poison?" I said I didn't know, and why did he ask. He replied, "If poison, good to eat. No poison, tastes bad." Students listening to this decided not to go wading.

Looks like Baton Rouge might get the worst of our rain within the next hour.

Just starting to rain here in central MS. I’m expecting a washout, but not much more than that.

I just watched a jay grimes update and he thinks with the 10pm update they might shift the track even a mettle further East

Pretty solid band spiraling down through Baton Rouge now. I can hear it picking up.

I’m not 100% up to speed on metric yet. Can we save any new units for later.

They missed the track by about 90 miles less than 24 hours before landfall. That’s pretty OOF.
