I don’t have anything specific for you, waiting on that myself. Many trees down in the area. Sounds like Katrina levels for the area in terms of down trees.

Many of the main roads sound to be passable

just talked to a buddy down there. says lots of trees down and powerlines making roads undrivable.

Is your wife doing okay?

Renee is beautiful.

Thank you. I will let my wife post whatever she is comfortable sharing but she’s fine now. They’ll keep her until it’s safe to leave the hospital. Staff knows our story too with our daughter and have been great to us. She has been one of a kind for them here.

I am just trying to get rough estimates. Cable in a couple days, electricity in a couple weeks? I really don't know and am just trying to figure out what the situation is.

Was able to get in touch with my dad in central lafourche.

Said things are real bad, no running water, extensive damage.

Was only able to get in touch with him since he has Sprint. Said Verizon and AT&T are both down. If you can't get in touch with someone that is likely why.

I am assuming that was a sand bagged opening.

Otherwise seems they would have pulled up the tracks before building the levee.

They should already have a basic idea. I just am not a fan of Entergy I suppose. I am glad we do not have them.

I wasn’t a fan of Entergy either… until the job they did after Laura.

Nothing short of a miracle.

Not responding to anyone in particular, but for anyone shitting on Entergy...stop. After Laura there were some claims it could be months before we had power again. In LC our entire grid was completely destroyed. I am not on any special grid shared with a hospital or anything essential. There was not a single pole left standing anywhere around me. Transmission lines were completely wiped out. I had power in two weeks. I know other people had to wait longer, but they don't have a magic wand. There are people coming from all over the country to help you. It sucks, I know, I was there. Those guys are going to bust their arse to get your power back.

Exactly. And if you’re in a restaurant with a group of linemen; buy them a round!

It’s very chaotic at first with debris removal and you think it will take forever but in about 10 days my in-laws got power back (south Nelson rd area). There were bucket trucks everywhere
