Ironically is an early participant of the liberal agenda they are now desperately trying to run from.

Liquid assets such as stocks, ETFs, bonds, and cryptocurrencies would be taxed on the annual change in market value, even if the assets were not sold

Who could have imagined this might happen?

Someday liberals are going to have to think for themselves instead of listening to gavin and andy.

‘You own one share of that stock, its value went up $100 in the last 12 months. You now have to pay the Government $32 out of your pocket for owning that stock!’?
Insert a long, long string of profanity here, please.
So, not only do the unrealized gains screw you, you get to pay with money that is worth less due to inflation.
I thought that was just nonsense when I heard it. Damn, double damn.

Kinda fake and sensationalist on the company front. Starbucks Corporate offices are not moving to Nashville. They are opening a corporate office there to put a relatively small number of supply chain teams there.

Is there a worse fast-food franchise than Starbucks?

Liberal scum leaving the “paradise” he created and supported because now it’s affecting him. Assholes.

Everyone who can leave is just going to leave. Its the EU, they can cross a border a few miles away with ease.
Everyone else will do what you say and invest in different ways

I am amazed people pay $7 for a cup of coffee.

was there ever a real plan? Because I glossed over a few of the ideas and none seemed to give any detail how it would actually work or be implemented
I don't think there was anything serious behind it. Kind of like when Mamdani said a bunch of stuff that even Governor Hochul couldn't get behind.
They say this stuff often and loud and it galvanizes that far left into getting off the couch and voting. Then when it doesn't happen they blame Trump or republicans, despite the idea being a non-starter in the context of our basic laws and constitution
Imagine all the people voting for that and then being forced to sell their homes because of unrealized increases in home value
Asinine proposal

I'm curious how this works. If the stock plummets does the government have to refund the difference? Or, is this just a one time grab?

No wealth tax on stolen land

For what it's worth, taxing unrealized gains will NEVER happen and would not have passed even with Kamala as a potential president. It's just things to say to get votes.

The progressive insanity has already taken root.
