I guess there will soon be a big run on $80k tricked out suburbans on 96 month payment plans.

I’m sure if you own a local hotel or restaurant you are all for it. If you don’t…

Surprised communities are still pouring money into complexes like this.

Scruffy could have sworn that bubble had burst.

Can’t imagine how many golf carts with rims will be rolling around there.

Daxxton going in the draft will be well worth the crippling debt.

Better change the spelling of the county name to “Madisynn” to maximize travel ball appeal.

I'd imagine the dirt work on that swamp piece is going to be a good bit of the cost

They already get this kind of business. This is about keeping it.

I’ve stayed at Jackson area hotels too many times when travel ball teams have taken over to think this is about new business as opposed to retaining what already comes into the area.

White flight has made the suburbs North of Jackson pretty good places to live and raise a family and there is regional demand for this.

I've seen these nice sports complexes in small towns around the south. Ruston has one now thats a fine host for large basketball/softball/baseball tournaments.

In Baton Rouge BREC did something similar building that massive Soccer Complex.

Add in Traction softball/baseball complex right down Burbank and you bet your arse the local Hotels and restaurants in BR are grateful for the 'travel tourism' these complexes bring in during the spring and summer.

They probably have spray tans darker than the bodybuilders who have stayed in the same hotels as the travel ball kids.

Buy as many houses in the area you can find with an inground pool. List them on VRBO and mention their proximity to the complex. They will STAY booked. I know a guy who did this close to a softball complex in Atlanta and he made a small fortune. Folks LOVE to travel to such events in packs and stay in a pile.

They built a huge nice facility in Minden several years ago.

That's insane. Mar a Lago is only worth $18 Million and it's on the coast on prime real estate.

I’m sensing a loss of momentum for all travel sports/activities, but it will take time to see how it shakes out. I wouldn’t feel comfortable spending this money if it were mine.

This is a 90% white population.

Canton is close by and that’s a different story.
