I have no issue with putting panels on buildings and, in this case, metal walkway covers.

It's laying waste to thousands of acres of farmland that I (and many others) are against.

I clicked the video looking for a specific data point.

Did the $250k deficit to $1.8MM surplus include paying for the solar installation or was that “free”.

What is the environmentally friendly plan for the solar panels at their end of life?

What is the name of the school

How many square feet of solar panels did they install

What was the cost of the panels and the cost of the installation

What was the monthly utility bill the four years prior and the four years after

Is this stand-alone or are you still plugged into the existing coal-burning grid?

What is the carbon footprint to mine the materials for the solar panels, construct them, and transport them to the school.

How many years will this last before it has to be replaced -- and how did you arrive at that estimate

--

When we have that information we can calculate the actual dollar amount. If indeed it is truly $1.8 million per year - then I will support it.

Also looks like the solar only saved $100k annually. WEF propaganda

Still something to be applauded. Solar is no where near a point of taking over, but shite if it helps, it helps

Teachers are already paid too much. Put that money into something else like ICE.

All those small Solar companies are dead or dying. They won’t be around to honor any warranty that’s for sure.

While these numbers can't be remotely true, I am all for putting solar panels up like in the image, like covered walk ways, rooftops, even cover large parking lots with them, but do not use country side or farmland for huge solar farms.

That doesn’t take into account the $5 million debt and interest payments they took on to finance this project

Regardless whether true, the #actonclimate is dumb, because this article is about economic savings and has nothing to do with the climate.

No one is against solar as a concept, just it has questionable efficiencies and economic benefits.
