I’d rather purchase the system than have a tax credit for leasing.

If you can afford it and it moneys out that’s still the best option but there are a few leases out there that have solid warranties and performance guarantees from companies that do a good job. Plus you get some benefit from their project level diligence and price modeling.

The research I’ve done
“Some lease sales pitches can make it sound like you are “getting the 30% credit.” Technically, you usually are not claiming it on your taxes — the company is.”

Correct they’re third party owned. The benefit from the tax credit is baked into the price. Typically passed through at about 22% after everyone takes their piece of it.

if you leasing something and not buying it, what kinda idiot would think they would get a tax credit that’s given for purchasing?

All those small Solar companies are dead or dying. They won’t be around to honor any warranty that’s for sure.

Well I have asked why not outfit buildings vs having solar farms that take up valuable space.

Who paid for the solar cells and installation? A federal grant of free climate money?

If this is true then we should cover the entire state of Arkansas in solar panels. They can finally add something to the U.S. besides the Clintons.
