Yeah, that's not what trespassing is.

I have spotlights on all four corners of my house. I'm light trespassing like a mf'er.

New guy in house behind ours installed a mega light over his garage that shines right into our bedroom window. Got up in the middle of the night with a ladder and pointed it downward to only cover his driveway and garage.

Plan A-

a polite conversation with the neighbor

Plan B, should Plan A not yield satisfactory results-

Mirrors, lots of mirrors.

This is why I could never live in a neighborhood

I went from country in PA (piss off my front porch since there was nothing but woods 360 degrees around the house) to suburbia LA now downtown Houston. I must be crazy for this transition.

My bitch neighbor got three flood lights, and pointed them directly at my house. Lit the shite up like a Christmas tree at night. I called the code enforcement, and they made her turn them around to face her house.

I knew

Eta: She initially took them down and turned some, but had an electrician come and redo one or two facing her house 2ft away

My neighbor has these bright lights shining into his backyard. When I’m standing on my back patio looking out over my yard I can barely see anything in front of me. It’s like driving when someone has their brights on coming towards you. It’s annoying as frick.

Out in the country, at one time the electric co-op encouraged all households to have an electric sentinel light. Now there are none.

Reason? It was pointed out that a well lighted house is easier to rob because it's so much easier than expecting the thieves to bring their own flashlights.

I've been to a few zoning board meetings in my town and its a big issue when people are proposing a new building. Someone on the board always asks about the type of lights they are using on the outside and how bright they are etc
