there are things you do and don't do. it's very defined. if you deviate from that in the negative, you're trash
he probably thought you got one past him. the proper response is unadulterated, irrational rage. if he doesn't react that way, then he loses respect from anyone who finds out that he got hoodwinked. anger > losing even an inch of respect

What we, in the South, consider to be normal friendly interaction (especially in a business setting) is considered weakness in their culture. They try to frick over even their best friends at every opportunity and expect others to do it to them if given the chance. What really confuses them is when they frick you over and then you get mad at them. They don’t understand holding a grudge because fricking each over is such a part of their culture.
I fricking hate them and avoid doing business with them whenever possible.

That sounds pretty accurate. It’s a weird culture. My friendships and connections are worth more to me then quibbling over $25, especially if they offer to make it right.

I don't think so. Too much influence from the Norman French, who ruled Southern Italy for centuries. Southern Italians hate Northern Italians more than foreigners too.

yeah when i was playing live poker a lot i had to treat the different cultures differently
you for sure had to 100% frick over those guys or they thought you were a woman. you had to bluff them big and show it
