I live in Lebanon where trailer parks would be a luxury.

What part of that is random? Most Palestinian and Lebanese families in this country are Christian. In fact Lebanon was founded as a Christian company and to this day nearly half Christian

The Lebanese were ruled by the French. Now they're independent eggplants.

It was 40 years ago, but decades of civil wars and millions of refugees from Palestine, Iraq, and Syria destroyed much of that wealth. The refugees actually outnumber the citizens at this point. The official government of the country has no power, and the real power is a paramilitary terror organization backed by Iran.

Lebanon could be beautiful and wealthy again, but it is not at the moment.

My wife's family is from there. Her aunts and uncles remember visiting regularly and seeing family...then those family members started disappearing in the night, getting blown up by suicide bombers, and assassinated. They can NEVER go back. The country is too unstable and dangerous.

Christians were a majority in the country before the Palestinian refugees swamped the place. They used to have a fully functioning nation. For a while, they had a Christian president and a Muslim Vice-President.

Persians are assholes. We recently had a work meeting out of town and there was a Persian metrosexual in the meeting that complained about anything and everything to do with the US. If I were not employed by the same company I would have enjoyed shoving my fist into his pretentious face.

exactly. many of the upper class Christians left, too. those are the ones I know from here, although some of the newer guys are of a different stock (although still primarily Christian. some are Orthodox and that shite is cool)

but a lot of the guys i interact with at poker aren't local and are from Houston. they're much more magnanimous
