i have no negative beliefs about these people in general. i was just noting observations about their culture
that's one of the things i really worked on during poker. learning how to decipher indirect cues on cultures sitting at multi cultural tables and learning how to interact best with them (which can get tricky depending on the makeup)

My engagement has all been with Muslim Lebanese and based on those experiences I can't think of one that was pleasant to be around. The Lebanese mafia runs many businesses in Africa. They are most definitely not people you want to be involved with.

i'm pretty sure that a couple of the greeks i play with are mafiosos
these dudes dump thousands of dollars daily, drive in from houston to spend weeks at the casino, wear super expensive clothing, etc. they can't have normal jobs and they piss away incredible money. and they always have to go take private phone calls

Birmingham actually has a very large Christian Arab population that is basically all Lebanese and Palestinian.
Btw if you ever meet somebody in the south that says their family is from Jordan, there's a very good chance they're lying and they're actually Palestinian. They lie because so many dumbasses around the south, like you apparently, automatically have negative perceptions about Palestine and just assume everybody from there is Muslim, which is most definitely not true.

I did not immigrate. I was born here. And compared to whatever swamp you were dredged up from, or anywhere in Louisiana for that matter, Birmingham is God's country.
You're questioning why somebody would immigrate to the US in the early 20th century, while you location says Cameroon. Really? Why would an American move to Cameroon?
And yes, Beirut is still one of the top resort vacation cities in the world. More rural parts of the country may are more unstable thanks to Muslims. But Lebanon is a coastal Mediterranean country, that's also full of mountains with ski resorts. Its a beautiful country and anywhere a tourist might want to visit there is pretty secure. They just warn you not to go traveling the countryside by yourself is all.

I volunteer for the Mercy Ship. It’s currently in Cameroon helping Africans who are used as slave labor by the large Lebanese mafia in West Africa. Any idea why there are so many Lebanese in Africa?

South Louisiana has one of the largest Lebanese populations outside of Lebanon in the world.
I did not come here to shiite on Birmingham as it's actually becoming a pretty nice town, but Baton Rouge and Lafayette are not shite holes either.

Like I said, my SO's family cannot return and they used to go multiple times a year, every year, for DECADES.
