Seeing as no one knows how to operate a dead light, watched someone plow into a vehicle at a downed light the other night as they did not treat it as a four way.

YES.

42,000 accident deaths per year. Ever drive in NOLA?

We are awful drivers in the US.

Its terrifying driving around these days. I don't think police are pulling over anybody anymore. You have these speed racers going faster than the flow of traffic weaving in an out of lanes. People following way too close. I can't wait for self driving cars..

Some well done public service announcements on TV and Facebook on issues like what to do when a light is out, how to merge, etc. might have some effect.

Yes. Most people on the roads don't know how to drive.
They don't know how to handle 4 way stops, or highway driving or passing lanes, or pulling out in front of moving traffic.

The local driving tests are also a joke. You could force someone to pass it every Monday and it wouldn’t show they are a qualified driver

Saw a couple of near hits.

Be careful, on 431 I've seen some stop at green lights not realizing that the light is working and then go straight through the next light that is not operating.

They require an initial driving test and it isn't helping. What good would multiple tests do?

Ppl just don't give a shite anymore bc there's no accountability.

US Driving Tests and Driver Ed teach you the rules of the road but they don't actually teach people how to DRIVE

Think we’re better off waiting for autonomous vehicles being the norm. The time and resources it would take to educate all the idiots on the road would be a waste.

Truth. Basically, what people need to learn is how not to drive like an inconsiderate a-hole.

If you mean some type of online or written test, yes. Would be a great way to remind people of lots of important rules of safety and such.

If you meant actual in person performing a driving test, no. But I don't think you meant that.

If they did your license would be 1000 dollars to pay for the testing personnel
