Ask other folks who they use? Put out a call on social media?

A couple weeks ago I was working in the front yard and a nice looking Latina comes up to me and gives me her card. Seems she was hawking her housekeeping services. Should I call her? How do I know if someone is trustworthy?

First of all, don’t use EVerify, since that would disqualify almost all of your candidates for a maid.

I’ve had a few over the last 20 years.

1st one was in Charlotte and we used a neighbors and worked out great.
2nd was in BR and we hired a friends wife who was from Honduras. She lost my key twice and kept leaving the garage door open once we quit giving her a key so we fired her.
3rd we just hired a company in BR and they were great.

Usually a referral from someone you know is best way to find a good one.

A good maid/housekeeper is life changing, first time you go out of town and have her clean the day before you get back, you arrive to a spotless house and clean sheets on a freshly made bed. It’s worth every penny.

Always tried to keep ours on Fridays so the house is clean for company/busy weekends.

Word of mouth is usually best for getting a Latino. They know one another and if you don't get their housekeeper, you get their housekeeper's sister who is also a housekeeper.

Latinos are vey trustworthy, especially Hondurans.

You can use the formal services that have background checks, etc. I used them once and had a bad experience.

If you want to put them on personal payroll, Homework Solutions is a good service.

Move to east Asia where they clean everything daily for $300 a month.

30 years ago, I asked coworkers for recommendations. Got a referral. 30 years later, still have the same maid.

Ask the people you work with. Ask what they're paying. Find a referral at the right price. Enjoy never having to mop a floor, change the bed, or scrub a toilet again.

We use Angie’s maids in Ascension parish. Most of these Messican maids are more trustworthy than your relatives baw.
