intense criticism from the medical establishment
I’ve already heard the details of an email to hospital employees instructing them “you must ignore the CDC and listen to the academy” or whatever the frick they call their political lobby croup masquerading as a scientific society.
Funny it’s the same fricking scumbags who told the same people “the CDC says you need this vax, take it or you’re fired”. All the while they all knew it was bullshite might kill a few of them and certainly wouldn’t do them any good.
Far too much government and cash involved in medicine for it to not be completely corrupt.

I told my business partner I was bidding on their closing down auction his first response was that he and a relative had just been talking about those guys being world class assholes.
When I was picking up my winnings the Guy told me they had been there 43 years. Between the neighborhood and the reputation I gotta agree I’m amazed they were there that long.
It’s amazing how much money big box stores make on firearms just from gun shop guys who can’t figure out how to be reasonably friendly and helpful to people walking through the door.

re: Hypothetical flat boat title/registration loophole

There are also states that will issue a registration or title without a previous title usually a notarized bill of sale and possibly a previous registration will suffice.
Then you can use that title to get an LA title Or if it’s from a state that does not title like TN or AR the registration will work.

I had the $800 bid on that one you bought when you went to $810. When you did, I went to the other 229 pro and bid the same ($810) and won it.
I was sitting in my business partners office bidding on that one and even told him at one point, I haven't been paying attention to bidder numbers I sure hope its not me and one other guy bouncing back and forth bidding each other up on these two guns like dumbasses.

So, we were bidding against each other on the Sig P229 pros.
That one was a flyer for me, just like the way it looks but I'm more a fan of the 5-800 pistols than the $1500+ stuff. With tax and fees that one ended up at $1022, not a bad buy, not a total steal. Got the Hellcats with red dots for just over $400 ea all in and the side-by-side 16ga for about $550, both of those were smokin buys.
I wanted the benelli 28ga shotguns but somebody paid too much for them as expected. No reason to pay retail for one you can't inspect before hand and is being sold as-is.

I sell a bunch of these, Young kids that like to go fast generally buy edge/havoc/reaper.
Guys who are a little older, have had a bunch of boats, hunt a lot and have duck clubs that have been around for a long time, mostly buy war eagles.
The right setup is going to depend a lot on where you hunt.

Local gun store when out of business here in Memphis and put everything up for auction on a local online auction.
My haul from this same auction:
HK 9mm VP9
HK 9mm VP9SK
Springfield 9mm Hellcat x2
SIG Sauer 9mm P229 R BXR3 PRO R2
CZ .410GA Barrel Over Barrel Drake
CZ 16GA Double Barrel
Ended up spending $4269 with fees and tax. Stopped bidding on several that went into the retail range, I'm sure I missed some other good deals but tried not to buy too much random crap I woudln't use. Saw several guns go for retail/higher than online vendors. These guys had a lot of tactical shotguns and other stuff I don't know anything about and just avoided all together.
Got several of these less than 50% of retail price, paid a little more than I wanted for a few but stayed well under normal pricing even after buyers premium and sales tax.
re: UPS plane crashes in Louisville?

FAA records show maintenance workers repaired a crack on the crashed UPS plane’s left engine pylon in 2019. The NTSB said Friday the bulk of that pylon was still attached to the engine when it detached from the plane during its takeoff roll leading up to the Nov. 4, 2025 deadly crash.
Had a fedex aircraft mechanic in my office a few days ago. Making small talk I mentioned that it sounded like they were going to have some extra workload with their MD11 fleet. He said they were getting guidance that they’d have to remove and inspect all of the wing mounted engines/pylons on their grounded fleet and that they already had one torn apart that he described as “isn’t pretty”.
I had them for several years, had been a lifelong State Farm customer before. Couple years back they Raised my auto by a massive amount, switched to state farm kept homeowners, tried to double my homeowners last year, switched it as well. My parents have had them quote multiple times, have never been competative. Never had a claim, other than dealing with auto accidents where other drivers/insurers were at fault.

I don’t live in south LA anymore and try to use local stuff whenever I have it but I run out at times and I think any quality smoked sausage will do. The key to making great beans with good but not great suasage is if you have some combo of Tasso, pickled pork and a ham hock/shank. The shank will do the heavy lifting but all 3 help.

The best meals I had at Peche were when the waiter offered us off menu items. Like the Tuna Collar.
I sat next to Stresewsky on a flight right after they opened, super nice guy and told me I needed to come try their new place.
I had dinner there with a group of friends a few months later, I noticed he was working the expo and asked the waitress to send him over. Told him just bring us whatever he recommended for the entire meal, it was absolutely phenomenal. Every meal I have had there was good, this one was off the charts.
Went to the Ole Miss v Gamecocks game, bugged out early in the 4th it was getting cold for my 5yr old companion and the game was essentially over.
Ole miss people never shut up about the great food scene in Oxford and we didn’t want to miss out. We beat the rush and rolled into the local Waffle House on the way back to Tennessee. We loaded the touch tunes with classic country and enjoyed the classic post game breakfast of champions. Solid 8/10 on the food, slightly under on the eggs and hash browns but perfect cook on meats and waffles, overall solid. Restroom was a 12/10 on Waffle House cleanliness scale.

re: An HOA is trying to protect its neighborhood during Halloween...will this work?
Posted by tes fou on 10/30/25 at 10:03 am to SlowFlowPro
We just ran couple old people out of our HOA board and took it over, all they did was bitch and piss away money on stupid crap.
We only have about 30 families and our neighborhood is gated, to celebrate running the old people out of the HOA I had the wife order up a bounce house, get a karaoke machine for the kids and order a bunch of food. Going to close down the street setup a big screen with football and free booze and throw a block party or all the kids/parents.

You’re paying $27mil/yr what coach do you get?
Posted by tes fou on 10/27/25 at 9:22 pm
Kelly contract was idiotic from the start. 10yr makes no sense in this environment. Realistic lifespan of a contract is 3-5 years, the 10 year contract is better for the school if the coach is good and better for the coach if he’s bad. Kelly is a rockstar and kills it he gets $10mil/yrfor 4 years and renews slightly higher, he’s a train wreck he gets over $25/yr of work paid over 10 years. Completely stupid numbers he was practically incentivized to suck.
With an effective rate of $27ish mil/yr $95/3.5 years. Go throw $15-20 mil at someone at a 3-4 yr deal with a mil per playoff win and a $5mil kicker for a championship. Guy has a chance to make $25-30/yr if he’s a winner and if he didn’t perform the buyout in 3-4 years is next to nothing.
This isn’t that difficult.

I add a few bucks a week to a UTMA acct at etrade, invested in growth funds and tech. Figure with a couple grand per year my kid will have about $100k when they graduate not restricted to school.

Where are you located? If you have a merc or Yamaha you'll save money on riggging going back to the same brand.
If you have a johnson/rude pick the one you like its going to take a re-rig to get you going. Tohatsu will be a little cheaper, Yamaha and merc both running rebate and warranty promos right now. quality of local dealer is important as well. Nothing wrong with the scudzuki either I just don't deal with them enough to advise on that size probably between yam/merc and tohatsu on price.

Move to Nashville and hit the bars, if I were a single man in my 20's I'd be wrecking that town right now.
