I would like to visit my girlfriend.....only problem is, she's over 1,000 miles away in another state.

I've been weighing my options:

1. Fly - this is fastest, but poses virus risk.
2. Ride by train in a separate sleeping compartment - the virus risk may be just as bad, since I'd be in an enclosed space with passengers for 20 hours.
3. Drive - this would be safest, virus-wise, but I really hate driving and it would be a twenty-hour trip or longer - plus, I have a bad spine and pelvis and this wouldn't be good for that.

Any thoughts? Could use advice.

This is probably the safest flying has been in terms of getting sick in history. They're running filters nonstop and sanitizing the cabin.

What are the odds you'll catch COVID-19 on a flight? Not likely, experts say

I didn’t read the article but saw the headline and then read your post. So it may or may not help

Fly, but give her sufficient notice so that she has time to hide all the evidence of her other boyfriends.

You're still gonna have to stop for gas, food, sleep, etc multiple times. Not safer than flying.
