re: The Selzer Poll and the case for a Trump loss

Republicans are leading in early voting for the first time in decades.
I still don't understand the significance of this. A vote that votes early is just a vote that cannot be cast on Election Day itself. So isn't early voting just cannabalizing the later Election-Day vote? I don't see how it changes the outcome.
re: What was the point you knew Trump would win?
Posted by AnyonebutSteelers on 11/3/24 at 5:46 pm to TenWheelsForJesus
I won't be certain or "know" Trump will win until the count approaches 270 and he has a healthy lead in enough swing states to put him over 270.
re: Let's put it to a vote: Trump or Kamala. Who you got?

Is the OP asking who we WANT to win, or who we think WILL win?
If it's want, then Trump. But if it's who will win, I think Harris has a slight advantage, unfortunately.

re: Hey Texans.. how are you feeling about Ted Cruz
Posted by AnyonebutSteelers on 11/3/24 at 5:38 pm to roadGator
I voted for Cruz yesterday, just like I did in 2018. And just like in 2018, I expect he will barely hang on for his political life and win reelection by the skin of his teeth.
That being said......
There is something really wrong with a candidate who can only eke out razor-thin wins in Texas. The other Texan senator, John Cornyn, doesn't have this problem - he wins his Senate races by big margins.
I wish we had two Cornyns instead of one Cornyn and one Cruz.

re: Once the military is completely rebranded as a liberal machine,

If the U.S. military does in fact go full liberal, it'll be a very bad day for American defense. Liberals and progressives make terrible warfighters, if they can even wage war effectively at all.
Against a peer-competitor adversary like China, a pussy-hat-and-LGBTQ-friendly American military would get crushed one day.

re: How does TEXIT avoid losing our independence vote like Scotland did in 2014?

If Texas leaves the Union, then nothing would stop Democrats from utterly dominating the remaining 49-state USA. That's nearly forty red electoral votes gone.

The Polish have been trod under the boot of both fascism and Communism before. They don't mess around when it comes to upholding freedom.

I mean, can you blame him? He's near death and the country is going down the tubes. Nobody has unlimited energy. Everyone wears out sooner or later.

Trump couldn't possibly win in 2024 as the GOP nominee, but he could/would destroy all Republican hopes of winning in 2024 by being the nominee.
We need someone like Cruz or Sasse.

re: What happens when the Globalist attempt to silence +70 million America First patriots?
Posted by AnyonebutSteelers on 1/13/21 at 3:54 pm to rickyh
Answer: Not much will happen at all.
The ratio of people who say they will take action, to the number of people who actually will go out and do something, is like 50,000 to 1.

If ten Republicans abstain, is a vote of 60 two-thirds of those voting? I just don't know.
There is no option to abstain; the rules require each Senator to stand up from their seat and give a convict/acquit vote.
Although I don't know what happens if Republicans simply boycott it entirely to deny a quorum or something.

Biden will make sure this is reversed swiftly.
Biden is still remembered for visiting Taiwan in 2001 and telling the Taiwanese, "You are no longer an independent nation-state. We have already decided that you are going to become part of China."
Opinion polls last year showed that Taiwan was the only Asian nation in which a majority of respondents wanted to see Trump reelected.

There seems to be this notion that if you are skeptical of an outcome, that means you somehow don't WANT that outcome.
Akin to people accusing an LSU fan of rooting for Alabama if he doesn't think LSU will beat Alabama.

How is this possible though?
Simple. The military runs on orders. Just have the orders consist of sensitivity training, pro-LGBT curriculum, pro-LGBT policies, etc. Even if the majority disagree with it, the military, more than anywhere else, is an organization that is enforced from the top down and where dissent can get you in trouble.
Liberals recognized this opportunity and took it.
re: Democrats colluding with CIA to launch intelligence operation that alters voting machines
Posted by AnyonebutSteelers on 11/2/20 at 7:12 pm to Man With A Plan
I have always argued that the vulnerable point of an election isn't the counting of the ballots themselves, but rather, making sure that the ballot-counters themselves actually report the numbers correctly. It is pointless to talk about how a Trump vote is getting thrown out in the trash, if the official in charge of reporting the numbers can switch "Trump 9000 Biden 8000" around to "Biden 9000 Trump 8000."

That doesn't necessarily mean they would be willing to disobey orders given by their liberal superiors, whether fair or unfairly issued. They may support Trump but still fear court-martial or similar consequences.

The scary thing is, this isn't even a misquoting of their stance. They believe exactly that - that by beating up people they disagree with, they are espousing peace and tolerance.
