I dunno about that, the Winn Dixie in Ponchatoula was pretty trashy the last couple years it was open.

It was but other than renovating the decor in the store and adding fake wood floors, there really isn't much of a difference in the two. The Ponchatoula Rouses still has over priced groceries, flooded shelves with store brand items, and only 2 cashiers working when the lines are halfway into the freezer aisle.
The meat selection is subpar at best, and the fruit/vegetable area is small and most items are wilting.

I live close to the Juban Rouses and I go much more often than most people. If I go with a recipe card, I know 100% they will be out of at least one item. Whether that be cream cheese, half & half, cilantro, etc. The other day I went for heavy whipping cream and all they had was Half & Half. The very next day I went and all they has was Whipping Cream and no Half & Half. I thought they were playing a prank on me.

I have no bias against Rouses, dummy. I've stated multiple times that I'd prefer that Rouse's wasn't such a shite show because it's more convenient for me.

Why buy a store only to run it into the ground?

There is an Albertsons and a Whole Foods nearby not to mention Calvin’a. They have got to step up their game or they will be the “crappy” store in the area.

Fact. This is the one closest to me and it sucks. The next closest is the Vets location by Causeway and they only hire 1 cashier to work per day.

Oh I won't argue that. While everything is getting expensive it seems Rouses is outpacing inflation and I don't trust meat or produce from there either.

What really gets me is Winn Dixie had cart corrals. Rouses got rid of them for some stupid reason so now the parking lot has carts floating about crashing into cars.

At least we have Bohnings.

They sell jambalaya girl on amazon.

Also, have you ever thought it's not rouses fault but the small business that makes jambalaya girl cant produce enough?

Jambalaya girl also has experienced supply chain and labor problems.

oh and here you go. Print this out and bring it to the store manager of the place you shop at.

The Burbank one was built without cart corrals, which was really weird to me. I get why stores like Robert, Fresh Market, Bet-R, etc. don't have them - they are 1/3 the size of Rouses. Rouses is too big for that.

They have some little slim parking spot looking things sprinkled in a few spots that are supposed to be for carts, but nobody knows that.

Interesting. Yet, I immediately went to Zuppardo's and they had 100 boxes of the mix on the shelves and ready to purchase. A buddy went to Sam's the next day, and they had Jambalaya Girl products in stock.

And it isn't just that one time that wanted that specific product. Every time I go to Rouse's their shelves look bare.

I'd much rather go to Zuppardo's due to the superior meat selection, but they have old people hours. Rouse's is open until 11PM, so I can pop in at 9:45 and be home within an hour without having to wait in lines or deal with clientele.

Besides the shitty meat availability (which is a pretty big deal), I don't usually have problems finding stuff at the Vets/Causeway location.

Rouses stores are perplexing. One will be wonderful, the next will be a dump. One week it’s stocked, the next it isn’t. The one in Hammond is generally well stocked and well maintained. The one in Ponchatoula will be fine one week, and barren the next. The Rouses on 1077 in Madisonville and on Juban anre both immaculate. The one on 22 in Mandeville is awful.

At least the parking lot isn’t littered with trash, and during crawfish season the garbage cans overflowing with styrofoam and crawfish shells.

All of the rouses in Orleans proper are disgusting.
