Drove by one in Fort Smith Arkansas this Wednesday about 6:30 pm, and the parking lot was packed.

I do like salt. My favorite thing there is the shrimp linguine Alfredo which is probably microwaved but hey it’s good

Will this mean the lobster and shrimp numbers will increase in future years?

Ah I see. Sold the land to another company owned by the Hedge Fund. Now they can shut down the restaurants but banks/creditors won’t be able to take the land during chapter 11.

They then sell prime real estate to a developer for a big profit
This isn't what happened. They sold the RE to an unrelated REIT.

Huntsville are because of the incredible prices they can get for the real estate.

Unless that part of University has seriously gentrified the last few years, it’s damn sure not for the real estate.

Do the upvotes indicate people agreeing that you’re total trash?

The only thing they have is cheddar bay biscuits.

Red Lobster has sucked for a while. I'm shocked they've last this long. I remember when I was young they were decent.

So Spirit Halloween will set up in Red Lobster's now?

Red Lobster is a terrible chain. It may have once been a decent regional restaurant 30-40 years ago (wouldn't know....that was way before my time), but after their massive expansion and several changes in ownership/management....they are pretty lost now. It's failing because they have to lower their prices to unsustainable levels to get people in the door in volume. And they have to do that because their quality and service is lackluster at best.

Darden Brands don't always produce the best product, but they at least know how to turn a profit. The spin off of Red Lobster 10 or so years ago from their portfolio was the beginning of the end for the chain.

You can buy the mix at the grocery store.

Another chain that was horribly managed - at least in the past 10-15 years.

I could actually see how they'd see a lot of volume an inland area like that.

IF they didn't have the biscuits, they would have died out long ago.
I've been to Red Lobster once in my life. Biscuits were awesome, food was terrilbe, service was terrible.

i guess all those new Juicy Seafoods are taking all their clientele away from them.

having an entire chain of purpose-built restaurant buildings lose their specific tenant is not good for the leaseholder.

True. It's against the interests of whoever owns these buildings for these to no longer have tenants.

Shrimp didn’t do them in. The play on their dirt did.

I mean red lobsters here have been pretty empty outside of rare occasions for a while now.

Honestly Ive never completely hated it. there were a couple things on the menu, like the coconut shrimp, i enjoyed. But it was never somewhere I would choose to go. feel like most people fall in that category.
