College football analyst Phil Steele recently released his 2024 Preseason All-American Teams ahead of the 2024 season.

Steele selected LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell to the First Team Offense and linebacker Harold Perkins to the First Team Defense.

No other LSU players were named to the second, third, or fourth teams.

First Team Offense:
Carson Beck, QB – Georgia
Ollie Gordon, RB – Oklahoma State
Omarion Hampton, RB – North Carolina
Tetairoa McMillian, WR – Arizona
Luther Burden, WR – Missouri
Tez Johnson, WR – Oregon
Colston Loveland, TE – Michigan
Parker Brailsford, C – Alabama
Donovan Jackson, G – Ohio State
Dylan Fairchild, G – Georgia
Ajani Cornelius, OT – Oregon
Will Campbell, OT – LSU

Ashton Gillotte, DE – Louisville
Tyleik Williams, DT – Ohio State
Howard Cross, DT – Notre Dame

For what it’s worth, Georgia (3) and LSU (2) are the only SEC teams with multiple 1st team players.

Thinking exactly the same thing. Must be slim pickings this year at QB but in fairness like half a dozen went 1st round this year in the draft.

I live in Va right by Old Dom. they always have a good team. but they havent been able to keep recruits at this level (FBS) since moving up from FCS a few years ago. the south east part of Va (Hampton Roads) is a diamond mine for football recruiting due to all the military families that get stationed here and never leave.
