I don’t know what to tell you. I have never been married, no kids, no tattoos and that never been held against me that I know of. You have to learn your strengths and use them. The no kids leads to a lot of questions because it’s unusual, but not usually a bad thing.
If you think they MAY possibly be fat, they are. You have to go for the extreme skinny ones or at least the ones that talk about working out or doing things like hiking, running, or bike riding.
Oh, and if she mentions politics in her profile, swipe left. That means it’s a main concern of hers and Left or Right, she’ll be annoying. Learned that shite the hard way. This girl now, I have no idea if she votes R or D and I really don’t want to know. Hopefully not Left, but she’s Latina so I don’t think it really matters to her. Latinas are my sweet spot, share a lot of the same values. Family first, genuinely sweet, and I think many are hot, even into 40. The accent is lagniappe.

I was never married (came close a few times) but the woman I ended up marrying was divorced. She found out that her first husband was using and dealing heroin when the store she owned was raided by DEA agents. Her store was clean but that was pretty much the end of the marriage.
Lesson here is that if you date someone who has been divorced date someone who has an ex that was involved in some unredeemable behavior. Yeah, she’ll carry some scars from that but by nature we compare people we’ve had relationships with. As her 2nd husband it takes an incredible screw up on my part for her to be upset with me because she is comparing me to a heroin addict.
Lesson here is that if you date someone who has been divorced date someone who has an ex that was involved in some unredeemable behavior. Yeah, she’ll carry some scars from that but by nature we compare people we’ve had relationships with. As her 2nd husband it takes an incredible screw up on my part for her to be upset with me because she is comparing me to a heroin addict.

it's sadly very true. 99% of the time i think the dudes get screwed in divorces and i've seen that with my own eyes more than once.
in this situation they went through mediation. she had been a stay at home mom for 10+ years and while wealthy, his name is the name of their business and due to the divorce, the accountants priced their assets as incredibly low because of the fallout. he wouldn't budge on the house, boat, and a host of things and she said, you can keep everything, just pay the maximum in child support and never talk to me about anything other than the kids ever again.
when my wife told me the settlement i was shocked, but she said she just wanted it to be over and gave up.

see my divorce story, but having enough acquaintances/friends that are total f-ups has made me a knight in shining armor to my wife for just not being a total shite bag.

If you're in your 30s and have a good job then good luck. It's going to be tough to find a woman who looks further than how much you are able to provide as far as money/housing.

Wife has a friend who was the same way. Her ex was a colossal POS human being. Cheated on her multiple times, blamed it on her, shitty father to his kids, and on and on. All she wanted from the divorce was full custody, maximum child support, and her family’s antiques from the house. I think she ended up also getting part of his retirement and he had to cover health insurance for the kids. He’s seen his kids maybe a handful of times since their divorce about 10 years ago. He sold his dad’s company and stays at the country club all day snorting blow, drinking excessively and playing golf. Rumor had it he knocked up a 19 year old girl that worked at the golf course and made her get an abortion.

this guy has banged 3 subordinates at work while married. first affair, he got his shite together, sought counseling, etc. after that his office was all men and older women, and i was glad for him to remove temptation for himself.
about 6 months later he started hiring attractive 20 year olds again, and i said "oh no. he's about to do this again."
the guy was my best friend at one point when he was up and coming. humble guy working really hard but success and his dick ruined him.

I used dating apps for a few years after the divorce. They are great for having fun. Met my current wife in a coffee shop in downtown Salt Lake. I was talking on the phone to an old work buddy from back home. Apparently my wife, who is Yugoslavian, had never heard a Cajun accent and when I got off the phone, she asked me "what country are you from". Been a great relationship ever since.
