The people at the amazon return desk are skimming the hell out of the returns. I just got a notification that they are about to charge me for items that were returned, this is the 3rd time this year and I've only had 5 returns. What they are doing is scanning in your return code and only one or 2 of the items to return instead of scanning all of them. I reported it to the store manager last time, the people working the return desk give off bad vibes too.

I have had Amazon try to charge me for a scanned return there. I told them keep checking it. I don't know how often they ship stuff back to a warehouse. This was before the local hub.

I had an issue with a return to the Metairie Whole Foods.

It was scanned in and I never got credit for it. I had to dispute with the CC.

FYI

No idea there, but Kohl's here in NC is also an Amazon return site. Returned things twice with them. They are always great and no problems.

Maybe try Kohls there if available?

Take it to UPS. Whole Foods has changed and not for the better.

Anyone else confused? Why would you return Amazon items to whole foods?

The WF in Shreveport still has a self service kiosk and there’s usually no line vs 3-4 people in line at the desk.

I returned a couple of items there because the person behind the desk was unfriendly and kind of rude.

What ticked me off to begin with was that Amazon sent me the wrong item. I wasn’t returning anything of my own accord. They wouldn’t send me the right item unless I sent the wrong item back. And I had to deal with this ray of sunshine at the service desk.

For starters Amazon returns are typically processed through drop sites as mentioned in this thread. Options vary based on the item.

Whole Foods is going to (almost) always be an option for smaller items because they’re owned by Amazon.

OP - I’ve never had that issue but I’ve watched them scan in each item after scanning my QR code.

Amazon tells you where to take the package.

Sometimes you have a choice of more than one place, oftentimes not.

UPS is only free when Amazon authorizes the return via UPS and sends you a return label or QR code.

I think it also depends on location to warehouses. Since being in Houston, I can always do UPS for free even if it defaults to Whole Foods. I have several UPS stores within two miles of me whereas WF is a few miles away.

Funny to read this today. I've been with Amazon for over 20 years and never had an issue with returns. Dropped off 3 items at WH 17 days ago and still waiting on my refund. When I login to Amazon it says Return started
Your refund will be processed when we receive your item.
I received an email the day I returned the items showing they have them.

Customer service says I must wait 30 days for refund due to new return policy.

Whole foods is a division of Amazon and its only brick and mortar location.

What you described is pretty much what happened to me.

My return details are still open on Amazon and states I can't be refunded. The credit card left the refund on there because of the dispute, but Amazon website still has the transaction open.

They should just delete this out of my order history.

We drop off returns there all the time and never have had an issue. As with anything else, never give anyone anything without getting a receipt.
